I truly hope this is a sincere conversion and not one of those internet trollings you here about.

Please keep us posted on your progress reading scripture!

We might spring a pop quiz on you from time to time, so be ready!

My heart rejoices that the scales have begun to fall from your eyes, that you may see the Truth. Indeed, my heart is filled with gladness. Although it is difficult to know why God initially brings new posters to our holy forum, we may yet rejoice in His sweet tendermercies.

To get you started on your spiritual development, I suggest printing and binding your own version of the King James Authorized Version ©1611. For too long now, Bible publishing has been placed in the hands of heathens. One of the few trustworthy Bible versions can be downloaded from this website. It even includes binding instructions and tips on building your own KJV 1611 reading stand. It's something you'll be proud to pass down to your grandchildren.

You came to us as a rebellious sinner, casting aspersions on our Savior. Please tell us more about the depths of the depravity in which you wallowed. Which was the hardest to overcome - your hatred of God, or your addiction to sin?

Good to know. And remember, if it's one of those Bibles with a "recommended verses" list, just rip those pages out and BURN THEM. The Reverend's exactly right when he says that the Books of the KJV1611 are in that order for a REASON. If God wanted you to skip around willy-nilly, that's the order that His Book would have been in.

Joshua, Captain Portway is absolutely correct on that. You should start with Genesis and go from there, not one of those Bible study systems that skip you all around the Bible.

Those systems are designed to impart a specific ideology to you, friend. The Bible is in the order God decided it should be in; read it in that order!

    Here's my advice:

Genesis is mostly stories. So, while you read Genesis, take some really brief notes on each story. What does it tell you about God? What does He value in a person? What does He reward or punish? Whom does He love, and whom does He hate?

By the time you finish Genesis, I guarantee your ideas about God will have changed from the hippy-dippy all-loving nonsense false prophets yammer about to the True God of the Bible!

I don't know what it is but for some reason, when ever someone attacks something that I have made memories (good or bad) with, I always try to defend it, like wgen I went on the Ban Pokemon thread or Anti-bullying laws thread. I also have always had a desire for proof, probably from all the courtroom shows I watch, which carried here as well.

I have now, however, seen the light. I've read through the bible alot more, started going back to church, and started to pray and thank the lord every night before bed. I have you guys to thank for this, now all I can do is extend my sincerest apologies and hope for your forgiveness.
What Bible are you reading? And which books? I hope you started at the beginning. God hates a cherry-picker Joshua!

Again I turned against it because if my constant desire for proof, I just felt like I couldn't leave anything to faith.

Thru Jesus, all things are possible.

What church do you attend, boy? What caused you to turn against Christ?
