Then I assume you have burnt offerings at your church? That's what I wanted to know. Does she find the animals in the wild, does she have a breeding farm, or does she buy them?

    - Should we follow the Bible to the letter, or are there some bits that can be modernized?

(For example: Leviticus 15:29-30, about women and their unclean period)
"And on the eighth day she shall take unto her two turtles, or two young pigeons, and bring them unto the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for her before the LORD for the issue of her uncleanness.

The question here was: do women in your church offer two turtles or pigeons when their unclean period is over? It must be difficult to get hold of two turtles or pidgeons every month. And if anyone showed up at my church, asking the priest to help them make a burnt offering, they would be told that this is not practiced anymore.
Friend, Sunday is just one of the SEVEN days you need to pray to God. Going to Church which to you, is a big inconvenience, is a small price to pay for eternal Salvation. Tell you what, I'll have a big party for you but I'd prefer if you stayed home. What if you needed Jesuses help, say if a car fell on you. Don't you want Him helping your son lift the car off you or would you rather he stayed on His Golden couch eating pretzels (Gods Favorite Snack food)?
I treat everyone in accordance with what the Bible commands.

If God wants turtles or pigeons or Snicker Doodles, by gum, my wife is going to get them. She has 168 hours a week of time, more than sufficient.

I see friend, you are no Christian. You are a mary worshiping, ring kissing papist. No wonder you are clueless.

Hi Ben! Their all quite kind here and I'm sure you'll fit in.

No, not at all and they serve to give kids a good route in to science - well, some of them do.

    - Are children's books sinful as long as they don't tell stories from the Bible?
Once you know what they mean, books like Job or Ruth or Acts or Psalms can be cool

    - Every children's illustrated Bible I have ever found tells the story about Noah, but also that he brought two of each animal. Should children be allowed to read these Bibles or not?
The thing here is to make sure they know what the ark was - not so much what was in it!

    - The Narnia books were written as an analogy for the Bible and the struggle between Good and Evil. But the setting, with fauns, magic, talking animals and so on is sinful. Are the books okay or not?
They're great aren't they! Look out for Lord of the Rings. too and some of the new ones help to put things in a way the young girl or boy can grasp - here's a good one

    - Are all sins equal, or are some sins worse than others?
We don't think of sins as such - more of a look back at an old "God" called Sin (from Ur). We - as the sons of God - came to Earth and bred with Earth girls near that town so I guess that "Sin" was seen as a bit "out of touch" to us then, when we got here.
GENESIS 6 1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
    - The Bible tells us to punish sinners, by beating them, stoning them or in other ways. When my neighbour eats shrimps or misuses the Lord's name, should I be the one to punish him? At the same time, the Bible says that only God can judge. (James 4:12) There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who are you that judge another?
God has made all food "clean" so: No

    - Should we follow the Bible to the letter, or are there some bits that can be modernized?
Just pick a text that fits in with your world and with science and read it with a clear mind and you will see the truth

(For example: Leviticus 15:29-30, about women and their unclean period)
"And on the eighth day she shall take unto her two turtles, or two young pigeons, and bring them unto the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for her before the LORD for the issue of her uncleanness."
Well, I think we've moved on from those days now. In fact my friend (who's here now) tells me she just takes a pill each day and that sorts it all out for her. Go for it (but not if she's on the game of course - but if it's "free trial" as-it-were I'm not sure - ask one of them, see what they say).

    Thank you,
    Benjamin
    Thanks Ben

    - Are Disney movies sinful?
    Most of them.

Even children's Bibles should be KJV1611 versions.

    There is one unforgivable sin.

    You must follow secular law.

Friend, I know you are a false fluffy bunny Christian as no one who loved God would only pray to Him 'when it was convenient and the Big Game is not on'.
Search the forum for the answers to your questions. There is no point in helping anyone who refuses to help themselves. God (and we) are not your mother who cleans the pablum from your face.
Read your KJV Bible, Live by it.
