Matthew 7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?Originally posted by AskAnAithest View PostIm not sure what a heart of hearts is but for me it never seemed believable. I was raised in a Christian home. had a great education. then i started realizing how flawed religion is so i cut myself off from it. But hey god could exist i do not deny that but it is highly unlikely that he does.untill i see actual undeniable proof of it i wont believe it. Now a question for you.If you were in a culture that belived in something that you cant physically see or hear with no legible proof of his existence would you believe it? Now please answer that as honest as you can. thanks a bunch
You seem to be focussing on the motes in our eyes while ignoring the beam in your own. To use your words: If you were in a culture that believed in something that that you can't physically see or hear with no legible proof of its existence... You might end up believing in strange concepts like the scientific method and evilution!
Why would you believe in these odd concepts that you cannot see or hear, that go against your God-given intuition, and risk the life of your eternal soul on them? It makes no sense absent the obvious cultural indoctrination you have gone through!
Repent at once and PRAISE the LORD!
Yours in Him,
Alvin

Re: Ask an Aithest anything
That would depend on the message.Originally posted by AskAnAithest View PostSo if you saw a really good message you couldn't like it if had the word atheist in it
If the message was, "Atheists should all leave America because they aren't wanted here," I could agree with it wholeheartedly.
If the message was, "We should all help one another, and even help atheists," then I could not "completely agree" with it. I'd have to agree with reservations. I might say, "We should all help one another, and even help atheists pack their things and move to another country."
Maybe you should read this:Originally posted by AskAnAithest View PostLike i said originally i hope to bring understanding that most atheists are not what you think they are.
Every religion every group every community has crazy people
You know, so you can understand what "atheism" means and how it honors Satan.

Re: Ask an Aithest anything
The Bible is about God and morality. Why does age have anything to do with that? Sure society has changed then but basic moral tenants about not committing murder, fraud or sodomy haven't changed since then.Originally posted by AskAnAithest View PostWell i am physically talking to you now not in a book that is thousands of years old

Yes, you are. Like most atheists you haven't really thought out your position.Originally posted by AskAnAithest View PostI think what you mean is im not a stereotype that you seem to have.Apparently it isn't. I think atheists are idiots, and you have helped prove that to me.your idea of an atheist is vastly biased and incorrect.

Your consistency is one of the reasons I hold out hope for you.Originally posted by Didymus Much View PostI must be the most retarded atheist ever, because I genuinely don't believe in any gods, even the ones that people dress up in feel-good names like "fate" or "karma".

Re: Ask an Aithest anything
If I was a True Christian™, then yes, I would have to disagree with at least THAT PART OF THE MESSAGE. I could not agree with the whole thing if even the smallest part went against my professed faith. It's called consistency (yeah, it's hard and takes practice, but you should try it sometime).Originally posted by AskAnAithest View PostSo if you saw a really good message you couldn't like it if had the word atheist in it

Friend, you have a closed mind. It is so closed, the blinders are not letting any light get in.Originally posted by AskAnAithest View PostIm sorry i missed the point i thought i pretty much covered it. God could exist just i dont see any hard evidence of it. As i hope you can see from my posts i have tried to keep an open mind as i always do.
Although i am quite happy with my life
I'll make things real simple for you. Do you exist? What proof do I have (not you) that you exist?

Knew it, inside EVERY Atheist is a secret Theist.Originally posted by Didymus Much View PostYES, IT DOES. If that message assumes the existence of God or "gods" (and it does, by crediting them with action in this universe), and you agree with it completely, then you believe in God/gods, and are not an atheist.

Now you see how atheists view ChristiansOriginally posted by Bobby-Joe View PostWhat lol, of course not. Then you would be believing crap like Harry Potter and that rubbish about talking animals, giants and magicians surviving their own deaths and invisible spirits that drag people of to punishment. Just childish fantasy.
I fail to see what this has to do with The Bible.
"crap like Harry Potter and that rubbish about talking animals, giants and magicians surviving their own deaths and invisible spirits that drag people of to punishment"
im glad you understand
