Regarding Mother/Father God: I know that the phallocracy has indoctrinated us into seeing the Deity in exclusively male terms in order to perpetuate the subjugation of women, but if God has created all of us in God's image, how can God be only a Father instead of a Mother/Father? I used to pray to "Our Father, who art in heaven," too, but through a process of spiritual enlightenment I realized that I was putting human, earthly limits on who God is.

Anyway, I must go soon. I have to prepare my lecture notes for a seminar on Derrida. Be well.
What school do you teach at?

We had only one child, since we both believe in limiting population growth, and yes, my wife did breast-feed Kayla. You didn't expect us to buy baby formula from some Third-World-pillaging corporation, did you?

We are not sexist, we just know the place of men and women according to the bible.

    1 Corinthians 11:3
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God

    Re: Hi, all.

My liberal gibberish isn't perfect, but I'll do my best to translate Mrs. Christianson.

    Greeting and salutations.

    Translation: Hello, I'm a sinner

Merry met and blessed be. I'm Professor Darren Ingram-Myers, and I believe that my inner light (or as liberal Quakers would say, that of Mother/Father God in each of us) has led me to your forum to find a caring and inclusive community of faith.

Translation: I'm a wicker who has come to try and pollute your Godly forum, and have been led by Satan himself.

A little about me: I teach cultural studies at a liberal-arts college. I figure that it's a good way to subvert the dominant paradigm of corporate conservative consumerist capitalism in the minds of today's youths. Since my students come almost exclusively from middle- to upper-income backgrounds, they have a dismayingly high rate of false consciousness, but then, it's in my job description to show them how to have right minds.

Translation: I've been placed in a teaching position by the liberals and am working to destroy today's youth.

When I'm not teaching or writing articles for publication, I like to work for social justice, volunteer at the organic co-op (just a short ride on the No. 8 bus from the student ghetto, in case you'd like to stop by), and go mountain biking.

Translation: I'm a bleeding heart, and I want to see if any True Christian women are stupid enough to come to where I live.

About the monicker: I used to be just plain old Darren Myers, but I decided to hyphenate the last name I got from my father with my wife's mother's maiden name to do my part against the patriarchy. I guess that makes Myers my maiden name, doesn't it?

    Translation: I'm a sissy half-man.

Anyway, I look forward to dialoguing with all of you. Peace out!

Translation: I can't wait to annoy all of you with my rambling blasphemy.

    I hope that helps.

I can't understand a word this young man is saying. Perhaps one of our True Christians might translate his message for us?

I like it when new members come on board and pick up so quickly a sharp perception of what we're all about. Love.

    Nice post Student, nice post.

Who said that Starfinder was welcome? I haven't been here long, but apparently the good people of Landover tolerate him in the hope that he will repent.
