They can't. There is no such thing as Atheists, only fools who deny the fact of Jesus.

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse. Rom 1:20

Where does all this new found revelation come from??

    Surely Jesus must be close.
Jesus is always close, especially now that I have awakened from my path to Hell and on tge road to God.

    Plus:

I am saved. I am a former christian.
    Plus:

I know I am going to hell, I just dont believe.
    Equals:

How can you be a saved former Christian who thinks he is going to a hell he doesn't believe in?

I know you are going to hell, too:

Hebrews 6:4-6: For [it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put [him] to an open shame.

Very good. Your local municipality must consider you a wonderfully compliant person. You may even be a model citizen. But Jesus holds a different opinion of you.

Impossible (for reasons already explained by Brother Jared).

Another impossibility. You say you "know" you are going to hell, and yet you don't believe you are? Did Satan violate your brain through hearing atheist philosophy to make you this dense?

A moral compass, but not the Bible? Might as well talk about a heavenly devil or a kosher hog.

I'm sorry false Christians poisoned you to the Real Thing™. I will pray for you.

Revelation, you mean? There's no "s" on the end.

An atheist with a favorite Bible verse is odd. But I happen to have a favorite atheist. His name was Voltaire--because God killed him and sent him to hell after a wasted French life of preaching atheistic satanism and his home became a Bible printing press! Praise Jesus!

    Also, they make plastic trees.
Plastic trees are not trees. It's nearly impossible to explain the difference without calling you an idiot.

What was the point you were trying to make with this thrillingly inaccurate anecdote?

This doesn't make sense at all! Being a FORMER Christian means you will be going to hell, hence you are not saved. It is all about faith: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)

It is not too late though:

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38)

The bolded statements are mutually exclusive. You are UNsaved.

And as an atheist, you have no moral compass, since all morality comes from God.
