I was actually making fun of the way you only pick and choose the parts of the Bible you read and believe and still have the audacity to call yourself a Christian when JESUS Himself says you cannot half-ass our way to Heaven.
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. - Matthew 6:24
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. - Matthew 7:21
Maybe you were too dim to pick up on the irony there.
Its that or people obsessed wiIth every little nuance and believe that if you only watch the movies should all go back to ... Whatever fandom they think is inferior.
I have never read a Harry Potter book, but if I did, I would skip all the parts I didn't like, vaguely understand the parts I did like, and then call myself a Harry Potter fan.
No. He devoured seven priests and the monastery shut down. It is said he still roams the woods devouring unwary travellers
Also Harry potter is just a teen's story. I still think it would have been better if Harry died with Voldemort in the great fight of Good Versus Evil but what can you do?
It is online. I wrote a story blah blah blah He turned a greedy priest into a goblin. blah blah blah. All of the stories are based on events that actually happened.
Did this goblin end up working for Gringott's Bank?
I must be confused. Where does that link say it isn't? It seems to be saying that the old testament is the written portion of the Torah. I was unaware that there was a spoken portion, but I am not really a studied in religions other than a passing glance.
It is online. I wrote a story where a fictional character is the American embodiment of the Prince of Lies and showed what he does to those who are. Of pious while they are still alive. He sent a girl to hell for disobedience to her mother. He turned a greedy priest into a goblin. He helped a horrible man perform countless atrocities in the name of science. He turned a child into a demon. All of the stories are based on events that actually happened.
But he does exist. He is the father of lies. The prince of evil. He tempted eve. He tried to tempt Jesus. I believe he was there whispering words of evil in every place there is cruelty.
I didn't ask you to recite what you believe. I asked where you got the idea it exists.
The god of Jewish faith is the religion his family would observe. His mother and human father were Jewish. The Torah is the the entire old testament. Or would be if it was kept in the original language and not translated three times into Greek and then Latin and then finally the world languages.
Or not. Thank you for playing, God-mocking ignorant troll. You lose.
Would you care to try again?
You could at least share with us your terrifying stories. Under what name are they published, and where?
I believe god is bound by the fact that by giving us free will, he has given us a choice.
What do you do with the fact that Jesus specifically said:
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father,
inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world
Matthew 25:34
Or that the Apostle Paul tells us:
Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will
Ephesians 1:4-5
In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will
Ephesians 1:11
But he does exist. He is the father of lies. The prince of evil. He tempted eve. He tried to tempt Jesus. I believe he was there whispering words of evil in every place there is cruelty.

Also, by Nemesis, I am referring to the evil one. The one who tempts mankind into acts of evil, not some dead god in a religion that was crushed under the heel of an invader.
Where do you get the idea that such an entity exists?

I believe god is bound by the fact that by giving us free will, he has given us a choice. He wants us to be good and change bad things to good in his name. He wants us to be a beacon of hope and compassion. Did he not say that a good Samaritan can be higher in his esteem than Even the most pious?
I do not claim to know the ways of god. I simply believe he is a father with too many children. He gave us his son who is also himself and tried his best to teach us humility and kindness. He was the son of a carpenter. His moments of ire were towards the corrupt and unpious.
And please refrain from sexual terms when speaking with me. I have no interest in it and I do not intend to in the near future. If I fall in love, I will be having sex with the person I am wed to and no-one else.
The good book was written by man. It was edited by man and it was completed nearly 1700 years after his death. I am not so certain I want to believe everything the book says as absolute law when the old testament is the Torah of Jewish faith.
So with 10,000 gods to chose from why did you chose the God of the Jewish faith, why not one of the others?
If you think the Bible is unreliable why would you believe the story of a man born from a virgin who died temporarily to absolve you of you sins? Surely only a fool would believe an extraordinary story from an ordinary book. Proverbs 3:35
The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.
