If a virgin is raped but the rapist takes a shine to the girl and gives her dad the right payoff where's the problem?

Are you accusing Cranky Old Man of being a heartless liar?
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Yeah Cap'n I did, to be honest I found it interesting but pretty shocking, mainly because I never knew that lesbians were only that way because they were virgins, always just thought they were wrong in the head.

Christians follow the Bible. The Bible says pay money to the father of the rapee and marry her to resolve the problem.

                What is the problem?

It does, Dr., but doesn't The Bible also say that you should do unto others as you would have them do unto you? Rape is forced sex, I know that I wouldn't want to be raped by a man, so I find it hard to see how a Christian could rape someone and not be going against God's word. I'm just trying to understand

A couple things to unpack here, friend.

First, rape is rape only when an offer has been refused. Sluts never refuse, and it can't be rape if she doesn't say "No." That means surprise sex that doesn't provide the option to voice an opinion, and drunk sex that doesn't provide the option o voice an opinion, can't be considered rape. Also, when the LORD does the inviting and accepting (as in times of war), it doesn't count as rape.

Second, doing unto others is the motivation behind marrying one's spontaneous lover. To give a love child a last name is the kindest thing a man can do. Corrective rape is simply a particular kind of discipline, not unlike spanking a child with a pvc pipe, or locking him out of doors to sleep in the woodshed one night for every year old he is. It may not feel pleasant at the time, but if it helps someone see the error of their ways and turn back towards Christ, that's the most loving thing one can do.

Third, we live in a Fallen World. Sometimes people do things that go against God's will. True Christians(tm) aren't born that way. In fact, we are all born disgusting sinners with the same chance of gaining God's Favor and being invited to Heaven as any given third world dictator. It is only through faith in Christ Jesus that we can be forgiven. When the LORD forgives, He promises to forget all those sins that happened before. Really, can you think of a more merciful, wonderful plan?

Mary, personally, I think that having sex with a woman without asking is rape. In England rape is currently a big deal, because girls don't know when to say no, or are intimidated into it by men. Is it wrong if an atheist rapes someone?

Dr. Niles, does forced oral sex on a man by another man count as rape?

Oral contact between any two men is sodomy and punishable by stoning. The only homosexual rapes that I am aware of involve Catholic priests.

Your interest in the subject concerns me greatly. You may be infected with the Sodomania. Have you recently been in close contact with a known homosexual?

I know it's hard in today's society to know right from wrong when so many vocal "New Atheists" and "Anti-Theists" are clogging the media's attention, but the good news is the LORD had everything we need written down thousands of years ago! We need not worry about what we personally think, or how corrupt England has become. We need only concentrate on what the LORD Himself thinks.
