Goodness, then I have made a terrible mistake -- you have my sincere apologies. My head has been elsewhere this week! It is getting close to submission time to the National Science Foundation, and I am preparing a proposal for a 4 year, $34 million dollar expedition to, once and for all, find Noah's Ark.

I think the misunderstanding comes from a lack of reading the Word. You see, we here at Landover are indeed without sin! I don't suppose you've Psalms 51:2 perchance? When we repent of our sins, and ask Jesus into our hearts and obey His commandments, we are washed as pure as the driven snow

Fortunately it does appear that you are dead-right in your take on the requirement for spending our days reading Scriptures, praying and repenting of our numerous transgressions!

What is it that you find "vile" and "evil" about God's Word? That you would call the only perfect Book ever written such things is frightening to me! We here at Landover are well-versed in the Bible and spend many, many hours a day perusing it to search for hidden truths. We have the world's premier preachers, those who are sought after the world over for preaching. I think that for you to call their (and Jesus') teachings "vile" and "evil" is just immaturity on your part.

Are you a Catholic? Could you point us towards the Bible verse/verses that indicate what you've pointed out here? Because I find that the Bible is a continuous narrative, one that is true through and through. It isn't like the Hollywood pictures that always have a "twist" in them. The Bible isn't hiding information or changing course. And of course the reason for that is because our God is unchanging. He is the same today, tomorrow, until the end of time. Glory!

I know it isn't always fun or easy but it is worth it. The path God has made for us is one marked with many trials and hardships yet it is and always will be worth it. We are told that we must show God that as his disciples we are worthy of his presence, for us to prove we should go to heaven. We are not to hide our light under a bushel but on a candlestick to that our light may shine before men (scriptural but not word for word). One that is why I am here yes but I will not stand those who speak with a vile tongue.

I thank you for your kind words. The Lord wants you to be here: that is why He has drawn you near to Him. Even now I am certain that you can feel His warm breath, His strong arms, His muscular thighs pressing against you. His heaving chest, with wild and luscious hair pressing against your eager body. It is in this way that we are thirsty for more of the Lord. All that He asks is that you say "yes", and allow Him to enter you, to fulfill your every desire. For if we ask Him, He is good & faithful to do as He has promised in His Word (I John 1:9).

Sister, you have to admit that watching the Unsaved Trash squabble online can be entertaining.

Can someone change that to say, "Even if you win, you're still unable or unwilling to accept Jesus Christ's Love, and thus bound to spend eternity being burned alive in God's Lake of Fire"?

. . . or snappier words to that effect.

I don't know about any Bib Bang theory. Sounds like Muslims at Red Lobster.

    Contradicts free will.
Does there being a law saying you can't drive 90 MPH down a residential street contradict your free will?

    Of course not.

You can obey or disobey God. There are consequences for disobedience.

You can drive the speed limit or exceed it. There are consequences for speeding.

Either way, it's up to you to decide.

If you give a man a fish, he will eat for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he can feed himself for a lifetime.

Now you know how to look up definitions on the Internet, instead of just knowing what one word means.

Friend, why are you having trouble understanding that women are the propert of men according to what the Word of God says?

As a matter of fact, none of the disciples were women, and a woman witnessing to the ressurection is circumstantial and has nothing to do with, nor does it change the fact that women as ownership.

Women are seen as property by the Lord and are worth less than men(in money) according to the scripture.

To deny this is to call the Lord a liar, friend. Stop twisting the scripture to what you want it to say.

Remember friend, we keep the WHOLE Bible in context; we refuse to cherry-pick the scriptures.

Don't you think that is an egregious oversight?

    1. He created the universe.
Why assume God created the universe? Why not, you know, believe the Bib Bang theory? Not like there there is a substantial amount of evidence supporting the scientific theories... Oh, wait, there is.

    2. All the universe belongs to Him.
This presupposes God exists, and you have provided no evidence for that.

    3. He clearly told us to obey Him.
    Contradicts free will.

Why is it you don't drive 90 MPH down a residential street, mowing down small children and old ladies? I would wager that Reason #5 is similar to your reasoning. You know the laws, and you know the consequences of breaking the laws. You do not wish to experience those consequences, so you do not break the laws.
Because of morality and empathy, actually.

I can understand your hurt at hearing this. As dear as the memory of your mother is to you, and I am certain that it is very dear, there is only one person who knows where your mother is and that is Jesus. I am certain that you looked up to your mother, but as the Bible says, no person is without sin. And goodness knows that people can hide their transgressions for years: just look at the liberal politicians who are constantly busted for soliciting sex in bathrooms.

We are here to help you, friend. It is our mission to share the Word of God with every person. Not just those who want to hear the Word, or those whom we like. Everyone. The Bible is not a book of fairy tales, friend. It is so much more than that. For every feel-good story, there are ten stories of rage & vengeance. Our God is a Jealous God. He is a God who demands blood for our transgressions. Fortunately He was kind enough to send His only Son to die for us. Now as a human, that may seem cruel & unusual. But in Heavenly terms, that is the kindest act you can imagine.
So we are here to show you that Heavenly love. It isn't necessarily easy, it isn't necessarily "fun". But it is what God requires of us if we are to get to Heaven. Remember, this isn't just about you: it is about us as well. Jesus wants us to spread the Word, and you are destined to hear it. That is why He brought you here.
Anyways, welcome! Please relax, and you'll find that this whole process goes much smoother.
