When you say you are looking for the "right religion," what do you mean? There is only one religion that is right, and that is the one that will save you from eternal Hell.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already,
because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
    John 3:18

Seems like a simple choice to me!

I mean that I believe God can appear in many forms. I am searching for the right way to worship him. A way that treats all of God's people in a just and fair way.

So you were raised Christian, but you feel that's not the right religion for you and you're seeking some other religion?

I'm sorry my friend, but we are NOT going to help you turn away from Jesus!

Friend, a religion is either true or false. It being "right for you" is irrelevant.

You see, every religion spells out the route to Heaven, and lists things you must do or not do. They each say they are the only way, and that following the others lead to Hell. You must follow the CORRECT laws, regardless of whether you like them, unless you wish to spend eternity being burned alive in God's Lake of Fire.

Let me give you a more "earthly" example:
Let's suppose you go to Saudi Arabia, a nice Islamic theocracy.

Somehow, you manage to smuggle in a six-pack of tasty Coors Light beer.

Alcohol is, of course, illegal in Saudi Arabia, so when you are found drinking your beer you are arrested and promptly sentenced to life in prison for drug smuggling, and 50 lashes for consuming alcohol.

Do you think that if you tell the judge, "Oh, I don't like that law. It's not right for me," that you won't face the same punishment?
It will be exactly the same at Judgment. When you face Jesus, telling Him that "Oh, Secular Humanism just seemed to fit me better than following your commands," He will laugh at you, then cast you into His Lake of Fire, and burn you alive for all time.

    Stop right there!

That Bible quote is plain wrong. I suggest you read the thread for new posters and learn the importance of the King James Bible and reading all of it, not just the bits that you can twist out of context.

    My Introduction

Hello. I am a curious person here to learn more of your church and your beliefs. I am here to ask questions, so please do not get angry with me. I assure you I mean no offense.
i am currently searching for a religion right for me. I was raised christian and with Jesus. My favorite bible quote is
Matthew 7 "Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. for you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged."
"And why worry about a speck in your friend's eye when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying to your friend, 'Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,' when you can't see past the log in your own eye?"
