  • My spiritual church experience

    Hey LBC forum!

I'm not into the scripture and stuff but I thought I'd post to see what people think about being with the spirit and all.

Recently me and my mate were cruising round Texas in our van, when we ran out of gas at some town there. The wind-shield was all smoked out so we got out and let some air in, only to see this massive church there. We were watching people going in for some service or something when this guy comes up to us and invites us into the service. So we were like "sure why not", we needed to get some gas so maybe someone in there can help. We walked in to see HUNDREDS of people and my friend says to me "woah man this place is huge". Seemed so vivid at the time with everything going on. Then we see the same guy again, he talks us into sitting right at the front by the stage, So we like walk past all these people to get there and we take our seats. I couldn't compute what the guy on stage was saying but I started feeling really close to everyone, like we were all connected. He was saying stuff about the spirit and stuff which sounded really clever and true. Then they got a good band that actually played some good classic rock 'n' roll hits from back in the days. Everyone was on their feet jumping around and chanting weird stuff so me and my buddy held up our lighters to show some support. We both thought it was colourful and stuff. When it was over, everyone flooded out of that place. We met that guy again and asked if he could get us some gas and he told us to meet back there in 2 hours because he could get some for us and he had something on back at the church at that time anyway. So we got some stuff from the van and lay down in a field reflecting on that spiritual experience.

To make a long story short, we got that gas, rode out of that town, rode towards Nevada and spent some time in Las Vegas.

Hope that this might be of interest to anyone who is interested in the spirit of stuff.

    LBC, Peace out ☮

Thank you for an inane and idiotic waste of God's precious bandwidth. Now, if you wouldn't mind:

Here is where you introduce yourself. Tell us what church you go to and what your favorite Bible verse is and how you came to find Jesus.

    In Christ
Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

Sorry man, I don't want to get off on the wrong foot or anything.

I don't really know much about the scripture and verses and stuff so I can't say a lot about that, I was just seeing if anyone has had any spiritual stories linked to their faith.

Have you ever had any spiritual experiences yourself?

This isn't the Scooby Doo Fan Forums, dear.

Why don't you run along now.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Thank you for that endless ramble of nonsense....

Here at God's favorite forum, we glorify God and are here to serve Him. This particular part of the forum IS for you to introduce yourself and share with us your relationship with Jesus and why He shouldn't cast you into Hell - not to listen to your demon-filled LSD trip stories....

How do you expect us to even remotely listen to you when you use the word "stuff" seven times in a post?

I am offended at having to breathe the same air as you (partly because you are a hippie and don't brush your teeth or scrub the lint out of your belly button).

                  So...

What I'm getting from this is that a couple of Charles Manson types rolled into a Texas town and exploited some happy clappy Pentacostals for some gas money.

Whatever man, I felt really close to the holy spirit that day and that gave me a interesting look a the "bigger picture" of life.

I can't see any problems with the word "stuff", it's a short word that gets the job done.
If you have a problem with breathing air, there's a sale down at the local store on oxygen tanks and masks.

I haven't mentioned anything about Bob Marley but I will say that he was a great man who definitely exists as I have seen him perform in concert.
Also sorry to break out of your "stereotype circle" man, but I wash regularly.

Ha ha, Pretty much except I wouldn't say exploit as they did it out of heart (and we gave him some cash for his help).

Now does anyone have anything relevant to the thread, or is this just mindless hippy-bashing?

How old were you? Where was the concert? How much were the tickets? Who was the opening act? What kind of guitar did he have?

                        You have ten minutes.
