I know that you know better, but the bible is so peppered with the word "wife" that you would still be reading if I had spat out all of that...

To those that are offering women, I can only accept virgins between the ages of 15 and 20 who were raised to fear God. Pictures are welcome as are testimonies regarding her upbringing, her attitude and her skills, preferably from a pastor. A virginity certificate from her physician is also required.

I don't see where any of these verses suggest it a wise or godly move to make your wife needlessly uncomfortable. Quite the opposite; how is it "rendering due benevolence" or "giving honor to the wife" to treat her thus?

Did you just search the Bible for the word "wife" and spit out whatever popped up?

1 Peter 3:7 - Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with [them] according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

A wife that complains to the extent of hindering my prayers is not a good wife, and a husband who has not disciplined his wife so that she be good is not a good husband.

1 Corinthians 7:3 | Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

Ephesians 5:23 | For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

1 Corinthians 7:34 | There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.

Thank you for your kind words, Sir. You sound like the kind of man I would be proud and happy to have as a father in law. Do you by any chance have a virgin daughter of marriageable age for sale?

For pig and deer I use a rifle but an over under shotgun for birds Sir. I use a knife for gutting.

I am sure there is a unmarried female in the Hutchins house. I'll see what I can scrounge up. I really do not keep track of them as all I care about are my sons.

Don't you realize she will complain endlessly about how cold the floors are, and you will have to listen to it? (That, or spend big bucks to keep the floor warm.)
