I did try to read the bible a while ago, problem is, it contradicts it's in the first 2 chapters.
Chapter 1 god creates every damned thing people, animals. marijuana.
chapter 2 god creates Adam, then Adam does crap, gets lonely, then god pulls out a rib and tada an eve?!
If the first 2 pages of a the bible can't get the story straight, how much of a mess is the rest going to be.

Please, don't give up. All will become clear. If you have the time and the understanding to interpret the Word of the Lord, our God.

Please read Genesis. This, being the first utterance of the Word of God is how we, as Christians, believe how the world was formed. Although secular "science" states otherwise the world is no older than 6012 years old.

What you have to understand here is that God is timeless and that according to our Lord God the Creation only took six days to complete. Please realise that we are dealing with secular time which totally disagrees with our Lord God's time. So the secular timeline is moot.

Ah, so your "scientific" process can refine theories and make "improvements", but our understanding of God cannot have changed and refined over time as he revealed more of himself to us? Nonsense.

I disagree that there is not scientific data to refute god. I've read a few different scientific books on the subject that convinced me.

But I do agree that if this conversation happened say 500 years ago, we would both be discussing how to balance our humours.
But come on, humans have talked about the Judao-Christian god for probably say 1800 years. what about all of the gods that predate that? what makes your god right and Allah or Thor wrong?
If you where born in Turkey, or Syria do you think Jebus would have found you?

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Still don't understand the difference between a scientific theory and the word theory in general usage.
As for DNA, I've seen it under a microscope with my own eyes, and I understand how it is made. So for me, DNA exists.
Whats more amazing is when you take Human DNA and study it against that of Chimps and Gorillas.
How the coding is almost exactly the same in large portions, but then has subtle differences in others.
As I stated in another post, we can actually splice DNA now and as this technology becomes more available, mans understanding of what it is to be us will get better and better.
None of you will ever admit it, but religion is being squeezed out by good scientific data.

Not so long ago, you would have told me that bleeding was a proper medical procedure and that disease was caused by "bad air". Scientific knowledge is ephemeral. The Word of God has been constant and will always be the ultimate arbiter.
