    Re: HI!

Emily dear, I just read through your entire thread and I am quite alarmed. I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but you are most certainly on the road to Hell. The reason is your obsession with secular entertainment. Others here have covered the sorcery aspect, but there was another glaring example of rampant, damning secularism. It is Rock and roll music in general, and one band you mentioned in particular.

    Pink Floyd.

Do these men look Godly to you Emily? I should hope not! These degenerates promoted the use of drugs, sexual immorality, money worship, and rebelling against teachers. One of the founding members went completely insane.

Trip to heave and ho, up down, to and fro'
    you have no word
trip, trip to a dream dragon
hide your wings in a ghost tower
sails cackling at every plate we break
    was cracked by scattered needles
    the little minute gong
    coughs and clears his throat
madam you see before you stand
    hey ho, never be still
    the old original favorite grand
    grasshoppers green Herbarian band
and the tune they play is "In Us Confide"
so trip to heave and ho, up down, to and fro'
    you have no word
    Please leave us here
close our eyes to the octopus ride!

Do these lyrics appeal to you Emily? They are clearly the ravings of a madman! Emily, please reconsider the path you are on. Turn to Jesus dear! Only He can save you!

You claim to be a christian, but refuse to follow Gods words. How are we supposed to take you serious like this?
Repent NOW and start to follow what the bible says or you will burn in hell. If you really want to be a christian and seek salvation, you have to do what God tells you to do!

This life is not meant to be fun or to be enjoyed, but to seek for salvation and repent our sins, so God can welcome us again as his creatures as he wanted us to be. Think about it. It would be a shame, if you would burn in eternal hell, wouldn't it?

Hi, it is refreshing to meet someone so carefree and optimistic - I guess it comes with youth. Enjoy it while you can. However, keep in mind that in just a few more years you will become a fully grown woman who will have to be responsible for her choices and to live with the consequences of the choices that she makes. Take time to read the Bible and find what God wants for your life to the smallest detail. Believe me, every thing that you do, think and say will have a direct bearing on your life in future. Also, spend time on that which truly counts and do not neglect things that really matter: your personal relationship with Jesus and your growth in becoming more like Him. Trust me, we as humans have true best success with things that we spend most of our time doing. Choose wisely now so that there will be no regrets later!

    Re: HI!

Well, hello there Emily! Do you have your father's permission to be on this forum? Anyway, welcome to our forums! I'm a bit worried about you, though.
You seem to be interested in a lot of secular media. Especially Harry Potter, which promotes demonic, satanist magic and turns young girls into harlots! Take a look at this thread, please:

A place where parents can get good Godly advice on how to raise a family: how to properly administer corporal punishment, which movies to avoid, and more!

    Pokemon, too!:

Some of the other shows you watch, music you listen to, and books secretly promote homosexuality, communism, satanism, and other unchristian ways! If you continue on the road you're on, you'll be headed straight to Hell, honey!
I suggest you turn off the TV, close the Harry Potter, and just read the Bible. Cover to cover, just read! Oh, and as for your avatar, I suggest you use a REAL picture of yourself. All of us on the forum believe that our community works better when you use a real picture of yourself as an avatar, like I have. NOT a bowl of onions. Thanks.

    Your in Christ,
    Abigail

I don't live in Death Valley. Yuck. That's the hottest place in the US.
Maybe Death Valley is about as East of Eden as you get, but I highly doubt it's a place to simulate Hell... I mean, God created this world, didn't he?
I didn't *chose* to live in the Southwest. I was born here. And I assure you, as soon as I graduate high school, I am OUT OF HERE. I want to live some place with rain and pretty winters. <3
But I *do* live in the desert. While I'm not that fond of the hot and dry weather, there are some truly beautiful things that happen naturally that you won't get to see any where else.
We get these beautiful purple, coral, pink, orange sunsets. And at night time, you can see a lot of stars since we usually don't have clouds. I can see Planet Venus almost every night.
I think God touched this area with much beauty. Just a different kind of beauty. I love it, but my body kind of rejects the dry weather. Bittersweet.
But at least I'll have my family to come back to visit while I'm in college.

Dear, one can sell her "services" for any kind of price. You may not make money, but if you are paid in emotional currency, then you are a prostitute.

Not if you repent and accept the LORD Jesus Christ as your Lord and Master. If you continue like this, you are going to Hell. Without passing Go. Without collecting $200.

Storybrooke, Maine is a fictional town from Once Upon a Time.
I never ever said I was in Florida.
I really am from the Southwest.

Actually I want to bed at 6. I was just up reading up on stuff. Plus, I took a nap after school, so I wasn't tired.

I participate in my church's choir!
I'm glad to hear it. That's commendable.

I'm Christian, but I respect all other's beliefs!
I just have that feeling that someone's watching over me. That what ever happens was meant to be because of God. It's comforting. <3
I believe you've already been baptised, and I hope your church wouldn't have baptised you if they weren't certain you'd been born again. Please tell us your testimony, how you came to faith in Christ.

Why do you respect others' beliefs when Jesus doesn't?

Mat 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

I agree that whatever happens is God's will. But why is that so comforting? God gave satan permission to test Job (Job 1:12a). Job's suffering was God's will, and he wasn't comforted at all. In fact, he wished he had never been born. And Job was a godly man, an Old Testament saint.

Job 3 1 After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day.
2 And Job spake, and said,
3 Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived.
4 Let that day be darkness; let not God regard it from above, neither let the light shine upon it.
5 Let darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it.
6 As for that night, let darkness seize upon it; let it not be joined unto the days of the year, let it not come into the number of the months.
7 Lo, let that night be solitary, let no joyful voice come therein.
8 Let them curse it that curse the day, who are ready to raise up their mourning.
9 Let the stars of the twilight thereof be dark; let it look for light, but have none; neither let it see the dawning of the day:
10 Because it shut not up the doors of my mother's womb, nor hid sorrow from mine eyes.
11 Why died I not from the womb? why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the belly?
12 Why did the knees prevent me? or why the breasts that I should suck?
13 For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept: then had I been at rest,
    14 With kings and counsellors of the earth, which build desolate places for themselves;
15 Or with princes that had gold, who filled their houses with silver:
16 Or as an hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants which never saw light.
17 There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest.
18 There the prisoners rest together; they hear not the voice of the oppressor.
19 The small and great are there; and the servant is free from his master.
    20 Wherefore is light given to him that is in misery, and life unto the bitter in soul;
    21 Which long for death, but it cometh not; and dig for it more than for hid treasures;
22 Which rejoice exceedingly, and are glad, when they can find the grave?
23 Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, and whom God hath hedged in?
24 For my sighing cometh before I eat, and my roarings are poured out like the waters.
25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.
26 I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.

I agree it can be comforting to know that God is in control of all things -- for example, if you're facing persecution (Mat 10:16-32).

Mat 10:29-31 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

But it's not always comforting. We follow the whole Bible here.

Just remember that marriage isn't forever. God annuls all marriages in heaven.

Mat 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
