Truth seeker, it's not hard to become a Christian, Jesus made sure that salvation is available to the poorest and meekest. You may be closer than you imagine with your current lifestlye right now, close, but no cigar. The Bible clearly states in James 5:14 about 'annointing' another person with oil. You stated that you have an atheist, lesbian, best friend? I'll bet you and your rug munch, gay lover are already annointing each other with various oils now, correct? At least with your current lifestyle, you should be ready to anniont all comers in your new faith.


But, as you began your new found life with Jesus, you will not not be able to annoint unsupervised (too many problems), but you are to call for "Elders of the Church" for them to watch to see if you are doing it right, which, I, coincidently, am an Elder Member on twenty-four hour call. Before we become friends, approx how much do you weigh? I'm not getting personal, but the info is for the employees here that order supplies to calculate how much oil it will take to, as we Christians call it, "do you".

I thought Jesus loved everybody...

Jesus is God, and God does not love everybody.

Psalm 5:4-5: For thou [art] not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

Because gayness is a sin clearly condemned by God and punished with Hell. So-called gay 'marriage' is an abnormal sexual relationship between two crazy sinners. Go to a True Church, read the Holy Bible ( KJV ) and repent your sins!

The New Testament reiterates that homos must die (I Cor. 6:9-11; Romans 1:26-32). That's why we must continue the killing as we are able.

The problem is, you don't understand because God doesn't need you to understand. God would have told you if you'd needed to know. But a lot of things don't make sense in the Bible. In fact, sometimes God seems to be very illogical and even anti-logical (Exodus 23:19; Lev. 13:12-13).

But am I going to risk my immortal soul just because I don't understand the how or the why behind his reasoning? No sir, not me.

I hope you will understand that logic is not more important than obedience (see Genesis 22). If God told me to bash an infant's head on the concrete right now for no reason, who I do it? Of course! I'd hope you would too!

Friend, doubt is the absence of faith. Faith is a gift. (Ephesians 2:8) Either one accepts a gift from God, or one dismisses it. Which will you do? What kind of person are you deep down? Are you the kind that accuses God of lying and being illogical, or are you the kind that is grateful for His unmerited favor?

Well, we actually don't know exactly what those people thought when they wrote it. They could have been savages, but then again, we're humans so I doubt it.

But then, it doesn't really matter what anyone thought while penning the Word of God. Nor does it matter what anyone thinks while reading it. The only thing that matters is faith and obedience. (Matthew 21:28-31)

Exactly. Jesus came as God in human form that He might temporarily die for us to make us free from sin. At the same time, if you still sin you're going to hell.

So I guess I can see where some might call God "wishy-washy." I'm not saying he is, just that I can see where others might think that.

How dare you call the Bible contradictory! God has every right to change His mind. He doesn't owe you anything, but you owe Him everything. If it wasn't for God, you wouldn't be here now.
So if He changes His mind, who are you to argue the gift? Just get with the program and obey or else.

Of course it is a bad thing to question your faith. If you do that you might be lost from our numbers. You might start questioning things like politics and start voting democrat even!

You are confused. The New Testament says queers are an abomination too.

What about Jesus' 11th Commandment?

What about it? Jesus was speaking to His apostles. He tells believers to love one another. Look at the very next verse.

By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

All men, meaning non-believers, will know you are His disciple if you love your fellow believers.

Read your Bible. Does it look like the work of ignorant savages making stuff up because they are afraid of dying? Does it look like stuff made up by ignorant savages to terrify people into accepting a narrow world view of permissible actions? Does it look like stuff made up by ignorant savages to stifle investigation and just get their subordinates to accept what authority figures state without question?

Of course it doesn't! It's clearly the perfect and coherent word of God instructing us on the best way to live our lives for all time. And that, my friend, is all you need to do to keep your faith. Read the Bible, ask yourself those questions the atheists want you to ask yourself, and come up with the only possible answer. Do that, and you'll believe in God as much as I do.

The stuff I'm learning in school is opening my mind I guess. And I'm starting to learn more about the world...and starting to pay attention to politics.
What I don't get is why gay couples aren't allowed to marry. It doesn't make sense. I thought Jesus loved everybody...

Yes, you can. It's called a trial of Satan, and you can beat it (see Luke 8:1-15). Read this verse over and over and pray it: "Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief." (Mark 9:24)

The stuff I'm learning in school is opening my mind I guess. And I'm starting to learn more about the world...and starting to pay attention to politics.

But it is closing your mind to The Truth™. It is poisoning your soul. Don't listen to influences of Satan. Shut your eyes and close your ears (literally if you have to). And we are to hate the world, not love it (I John 2:15).
