    What is god?

    Earlier today my stepsister asked the question "Who created the Universe" and my answer was God. She repeated the answer to my father and he rambled on about something (his wording was hard to follow) and got to the subject of God. He said that God is everything (including the devil) not wanting to get in a debate with him I kept my mouth shut to ask you. Is there some truth to this?
    Surely God is not the Devil, but does god take the form of anything else?
    Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. (Leviticus 18:22)

    But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. (Luke 19:27)

    Ask your father to show you in the Bible where it says God is the devil.

    He made the claim: have him provide Scriptural proof.

        I tried after he got home today, he said that it's not in the bible. He said "The bible ain't no good for nothin', and only stupid rednecks and mormons believe that crap". I didn't reply back out of respect that he is my father, although I am shocked that anyone would even think that, let alone speak it.

            Alas he doesn't, I pray that although he refuses I will find a True Christian husband to do so. I have found Jesus though, currently reading the KJV in my spare time.
