    Hello all :)

    Hello there.

I'm an Scandinavian. I was raised with the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses, and whereas most of my family still practice it, I do not.

I stumbled across the Landover Baptist webpage, and started to read into things, and as I read on, I realized that it's some very interesting views you have on a variety of things. And, I'd like to learn more.

So I humbly ask that you take me within your midst, as what I am. Simply a young girl, eager to learn more about the ways of god. - and if I happen to find my way to salvation too, I definitely wouldn't mind.

So therefore, what is my next step? I've already started re-reading the King James Version of the bible; however, I'd love some support and friendly advice along the way.

    Yours humbly
    ohthelolly

P.S. Pardon my language, my English aren't as well, due to my Scandinavian heritage.

    Re: Hello all

Well dear, I feel so horribly for you being trapped in a cult like that.

I know how hard it can be to break out of the JW's with their threats of shunning.

We recently lost a brother to that fiendish cult. Thankfully, he came back to the one True Religion.

How about you? Have you renounced your satanic ways and had a transfusion of Jesus' precious blood?
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

The threat of shunning made me follow for most of my childhood yes. I used to hear the horror stories of how my baptized family members, would be deemed outcasts because of wrong decision. - Luckily though, my closest family has never been baptized so I have not been shunned, I do talk less with the baptized ones, though.

And I have not yet been in need of transfusion, however, my blood has been taken before. Does that count?

I'm very happy to hear that your friend has found his way again. That means there might be hope somewhere for me, right?

        Re: Hello all

Anyone can come back from any sin except speaking in blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. That Jesus won't forgive. Matthew 12:31-32

31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

If the murderer on the cross next to Jesus and let us never forget.

Serial Killer Jeffrey Dahmer: Christian in Heaven with Jesus

If they can be forgiven, surely even something as heinous as a JW can be too.

Are you married? What is your favorite verse from the King James Bible?

          Re: Hello all

Thank you for the kind words of support. It truly warms my heart.

I am not married. In my quest to find my way in this world, I have no time for searching for a man. I need to be sure that he follows my own belief, right? - Who would wish for a man that cannot guide me when needed be... Certainly not me.

Actually, I have yet to read the whole KJV bible. I've only recently started to think more about the symbolism of the written words, which I've found a deeper meaning to on this site.

However, I was greatly pleased that the 'random question' when signing up, was also the only passage I knew by heart already. Truly that must be a sign that I am doing the right thing by seeking guidance here, yes?

          The passage was this:

King James Bible - Numbers 23:22 -God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

I just think that it shows how truly great our lord and savior is, that his strength and power is impeccable. Yeah, I just love it.

It is a sign, sister. Indeed it is.

Signs and wonders the Lord is performing all over the world!

That makes me so happy, to know that even up here in the cold north; God's work is truly magnificent.

Do tell me though, what must I do now? I wish for nothing more than to learn. Is there anything that I can do, personally, to help the process and not fall in to the lure and temptation of Satan's ways? I know he is all around us; I sometimes sense his darkness creeping around.

Needless to say - I don't like it. Oh, please do help me fight him off.

Stop sinning is the first thing you need to do. You need to completely abstain from any and all appearances of sin.

You need to warn others of what fate awaits them if they don't stop their evil ways.

You need to get married and have children and teach them to be the same way as you.

You have to gather all your new friends and family and pressure that evil country you are in to outlaw abortion and gay marriage.

                Just to name a few.

But the sins are so many, where to start?

And I've already told a bunch of friends about this site and how big a tremendous help that you especially has been.

                  - I wouldn't know where to start, I do kind of need a man to do the whole marriage and children part. Where do I find those?

And of course, I'm already on the last part.

I too was born into a sick, unholy cult.
But I was shown to the True way. I went from being a filthy papal semen-riddled altar boy to being an altered boy by Jesus's baptismal water.
                    Have you been baptised yet?

This is not a reference of a homosexual relationship but a friendship of depth and platonic commitment! Why must liiebrals always make everything sound so DIRTY!?

Start by reading the entire Authorized KJV Bible.
