I Am An Athiest. Ask Me Your Questions.

I wish to engage in civil discussion. Ask me questions about my lifestyle and I will respond honestly. Perhaps you will even convert me.

I do not respond well to tautology.

Why do you hate Jesus? He died (temporarily) for some of us

Re: I Am An Athiest. Ask Me Your Questions.

When you registered here, you were invited to join us with a sense of fellowship that you are among brothers and sisters who wish nothing more than to share the good news that Jesus Christ is going to send every single person on Earth who doesn't believe in Him, straight to Hell. Further, you were told that if you are saved, please feel free to interact with us, but if you are unsaved, please leave now.

So no, dear, no questions from me. You can leave now.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

I don't wish to pester. I wish to engage in civil conversation.

I do not hate Jesus. I actually think he was a rather interesting person.

I have only even been banned from one board before, and it wasn't at all religious.

Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

What is the worse abominable work you have done? Why have you never done good? Why do you hate Jesus?

The thing is we know that atheists have rejected God's conditional love: what can you possibly offer us?

I have not yet rejected God's unconditional love. I simply haven't decided yet to take it. I want to know why I should.

I try to do good, and avoid doing bad, it's just I probably define them a little differently than you do, but I bet we agree 99% of the time.

Good: that which increases happiness and health and prevents harm
Bad: that which causes harm and prevents happiness and health

I am trying to understand! Help me understand why I need to believe in God!

Do I have to believe in God to understand, or do I have to understand then believe?

How awful! I have to wonder if it's the little girls or their ponies that arouses them the most.

Are you rather some sort of agnostic?

Here's a question. Why would I want to hear anything you have to say? I only believe things that are backed in scripture and you don't know any of that.

I am a woman, and I am not a lesbian.

What kind of atheist am I? I didn't know there was more than one kind.

So, God let's his son die for me, right, but then he brings him back to life. I should believe in God because he's willing to make that sacrifice for me?

I still don't understand, though, is God's existence revealed once I believe in him, or do I logically understand that he exists first and then have faith?
