And also that the inward self must change and all sin must stop!

Matthew 3:3 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Baptism is more than symbolic. It is part and parcel of Salvation.
    Mark 16:16
16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

This is what Jesus meant in John 3.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Here let us try it again. But in a more correct way.

    Rom 10:
    9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
    10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

    Yes or No?

The better question is how do we know them. He who puts God's word into action is how we will know them.

29 If you know that he is righteous, you may be sure that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.

You use words loosely taken from Bible verses, but seem to have no grasp of the basics of communication like some Mexican street preacher.

    Are you a Mexican???

This is a paradox. Do you ever tell lies? If so, you are of the devil. But I am guessing you will say it is different with you...

You need to read John 8 in context! Jesus is arguing with the Pharisees as to whether He was the Messiah or not.

Anyone who confesses that Jesus Christ is Lord is Truly a Christian.

    1 John 4:1-3
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

If you believe that the Bible is the written word of God, then do you obey it exactly as it is written?
