Re: Hi!
I have not persecuted you, so I'm not sure what you are claiming. I also have not mocked God or claimed that you are wrong. I have simply asked for a substantiation of your belief, and that substantiation (not the belief) may be different than mine. You have yet to answer that question.Originally posted by Pastor Ezekiel View PostDear Godmocking Whore;

Enjoy hell. I know that Jesus and I can't wait to watch you burn in hell for all eternity. Oh, how we'll laugh at you as you scream in agony! Shout Glory!!

Re: Hi!
Interesting.
Well I have another question and I can't post anywhere else yet so I'll ask it here.
All the beliefs here seem to be predicated on the assumptive fact that the Bible is the irrefutable Word of God.
The question has been posed as "How do you know it's the Word of God" to which the response is "It says so in the Bible."
I cannot see how you can prove the validity of something based on its own claims, when it is the validity of that claim that is itself in question.
Unless we or God are incapable of lying, then simply stating something does not imply that it is factual. If however, you claim that the Bible is indisputably the Word of God simply because that is what it claims itself to be, you also must accept that God is incapable of lying. If He can lie, then the Bible's claim that it is His word could be a lie also (regardless of whether he would even do so).
I am asserting that the statement alone is insufficient evidence (not that it is wrong, per-say). There must be an independent source.
Again, I'm not attacking, slandering, or debasing anyone's claims. I don't understand this point, but I wish to understand the reasoning.

Throughout history Christians have been persecuted, besmirched, harangued and slandered.Originally posted by LetMeUnderstand View PostSo, is it safe to assume that, while the .org site is a self-proclaimed satirical website, this forum is actually not satirical in nature?
It's not going to stop anytime soon

Re: Hi!
.org is a enterprise, orginally a 'front door' where decent people could find like minded Christians. We are .net. If we were the same, donelt you think the web address would just a slash away? Find any ads here? Friend, we are as devious as the Holy Bible.Originally posted by LetMeUnderstand View PostSo, is it safe to assume that, while the .org site is a self-proclaimed satirical website, this forum is actually not satirical in nature?

Re: Hi!
Friend, all you need to do is read the Bible and follow the simple rules contained within. No magic or hocus pocus. Very, very simple, written for the lowest common denominator. Any questions?

There can be no half measures in God's eyes.Originally posted by LetMeUnderstand View PostWhy did you ask me if I was worried, when your next question assumes I cannot be?
Also, aren't we capable of half measures? If you do not love something do you inherently hate it? I do not love you, but I do not hate you. I do not love my car, but I do not hate it. Is there scripture to support that if we do not love Jesus then we hate Him?
Note, I am not rejecting your posts, just trying to understand them.

Thank you, Archtintis for responding my question however, it is not a satisfactory answer.Originally posted by Archtintis View PostHe that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad - Matthew 12:30
The bible clearly states that you can either accept his love and join him in heaven or reject him and burn in hell like the immoral sinner you are.
I asked specifically about love and hate, not about being for or against, or the consequences of either choice.
To be "with" or "for" someone does not require you to love that someone. Likewise, to be "against" someone does not require you to hate them.
We are taking 100% literal interpretations of scripture, correct? Again I ask, is there scripture specifically adressing that if one does not love Him then one must hate Him?
