    Hello, nice to meet you.

    Hello!

I was introduced to the Landover site by my friend Johnney and was very amused by it. I hope to be able to discuss the site a bit with other fans here.

About me: I'm 20 years old and currently enrolled at Mount Union College under the Religious studies department with a concentration in Pre-Minestry. I'm also majoring in Japanese Language and minoring in Philosophy. My favorite classes in school were Christian Social Ethics and 'What is Justice?'. I'm currently studying and living in Japan.

I have a very different time schedual then everyone else on the forums I assume so sorry if I don't respond in a timely mannor.

    Please treat me kindly.

That was an interesting first post. The one thing that really surprised me is that the japs are teaching "What is justice". It's nice to see that they are finally accepting responsibility for having nuclear weapons dropped on them. I am, quite honestly, a little speechless.

      Welcome young man.
I find it a little disturbing that your friend was "amused" by his visit to God's favourite Forum.

Re: Hello, nice to meet you.

Oh, I'm not taking the 'What is Justice?' class here in Japan, that was back in America. Here I am mostly studying language. I plan to have a church of my own here in Japan after graduate school.

I am amused by the many copy write symbols placed after many important words. Does someone on the forum hold the copy write or it is Jesus Himself? ;p

I'm not hear to mock anyone, I think its a waste of time and energy that could be put toward much more worthwhile things. I have not given this site any money, no. I'm a college studend living in one of the most expencive countries in the world and I donate my time to worthwhile orginazations at my school in America. I don't actually have an income so I feel that well over 10% of my time is just as good.

I would like to seriously discuss some of the articles on the site though, some were very amusing and dealt with very grave issues in American culture. Like I said, Christial Social Ethics is my favorite ^-^

Also, I suppose it isn't odvious to you unless you are mocking me in turn, but I'm a girl. Also, if that name is too hard for you to type correctly you should try Kimi. Just like Kimberly ne?

Opps, it seems that I can't edit my posts... so I'll just have to double post. Sorry about that.

My friend wasn't at this forum, he was on the made website. I don't think he checked the forum out.

Also, kokomimi means 'Place of the ear' roughly... though I doubt that it really means anything at all.

I'm not really sure what you are blathering on about.
Your spelling is terrible, do they not teach you basic English these days?

Your name may be a problem as we really do prefer American or Biblical names to be used. There are getting to be far too many European Homers using this Forum trying to use broken American.

Tell me, which Bible do you have a preference for?
I hope It's the Godly© King James 1611 version? The one and only True® word of God©.

Re: Hello, nice to meet you.

*sigh* I knew that it was only going to take a few posts for some one to grammer nazi me. Thats really inconsiderate you know. I'm quite sure that you know full well the message I'm trying to convey. A few spelling mistakes isn't going to make my English compleatly unreadable.

My name can be made simple, Kimi. Just like Kimberly. Though, really, Kimiko isn't that hard. I have no idea of how to pronounce your name Miss Talitha but this is the internet so I don't actually have to speak with you. Almost like magic, except not.

Oh how people do harp on about versions of the Bible on this site... I'm not sure of what version of the bible I have, its a study bible though and I got it for free once so its really all that I have.

However, like I said before, I would like to discuss the main website if that is possible.

I'm not very into roll playing. Sorry...

Re: Hello, nice to meet you.

I don't really have any questions so much as I would like to discuss the articles. Is that possible?

Is there anywhere in the forums where it is ok to drop the roll play and just talk? I suppose here in the intro thread isn't the right place, I'm sorry about that.

I can't burn my bible because it happens to be in America at the moment. Right now I just have one of those tiny green bibles that nice old men tend to hand out around campus. I wouldn't do it anyway though because that was a gift and the only resource that I have. If you would be so kind as to send me a study version of the bible that you use I'm sure I would be able to use it. Otherwise I'm afraid that I don't have the money to get a new one.

Ha ha ^-^ They don't. You did. That is a fine distinction I know.

'They' call me Samantha, but my user name for bords is always Kimiko, that way I can remember it better. Samantha is almost always taken.

                      Kimiko means smart child
                      Samantha means listener
I'm ok at both but not great at either.

Where did your name come from?

I'm named after my father, grandfather, great grandfather, great, great grandfather and great, great, great grandfather. There has been a Dean in my family (always to the first born) since we came to America on the Mayflower. Great, great, great Grandpa Dean used to have a collection of Indian scalps but they've gone missing over the years.

Ah, I see. My mother always wanted a child named Samantha Joy, so that is what I got called. My brothers all got names like Matthew, John, and Joe so I was the odd one out ^^; But I suppose Joy fits in ok.

My grandmother on my Dad's side was able to trace back her family to the may flower. She is in that 'Daughters of the American Revolution' society that is concerned with those matters. Very interesting.
