Mary Etheldreda you have been most helpful, I really appreciate it. I firmly believe it's the role of a Christian to be the light of God in the world.

It's a Beatles reference, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. I don't claim to be in the military, it's just my online alias. I have several friends who served in the Military and it's never been an issue before.

I was actually never made aware by my Pastor that the Beatles were a tool of satan and that John Lennin and George Harrison are currently in hell. I apologize if I offended anyone and will attempt to do better in the future.

I do read the bible, quite a bit, however my understanding is often different from other peoples so I like to hear the logic and reasoning behind there's. Sometimes I find I'm looking at it wrong and sometimes I find that I've been right all along and my faith is reaffirmed. A good example, the sinning after you become a christian. It's always been my impression that you are imperfect until you die and leave this imperfect body behind. However, it seems that this church believes in perfection here on earth. This concept intrigues me and I'd love to understand it better.

If you truly loved and trusted Jesus, you'd trust the Holy Spirit to interpret the scriptures for you. They are "God Breathed," that means the Breath of God, the Spirit of God is in the very words! You can't read it "wrong" if you have been Born Again!

Here's what you need to do, dear:

Read the Holy Bible. Slowly. Carefully. Every single word.
Read it from beginning to end.
Obey what it says to do. All of it. No exception. Without condition. Without reservation.

Note everyone is called to be single, my point simply was I'm not a queer and I wasn't quite sure the logic that lead to that conclusion. I have done nothing wrong in that regard. I do really appreciate your post on the sinning though. The old nature is sinful and when we accept Jesus we do become a new being shedding the old ways. At this point we do agree, but are you saying that once we accept Jesus as our personal saviour we cease to sin ever? Did king David not sin with Bathsheba and was then punished with the loss of his child? Or am I misinterpreting the text?

Forgive me for being unclear. I am cleansed and I am righteous in God's eyes, I simply meant my actions fall short.

Romans 3:23

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God

Through his grace I am perfect, in action I am not.

Son, I admit, I'm a bit worried about you. You profess to love and trust Jesus, and yet you don't act like you do. If you are human, you are born into sin. This much we agree on, right? In this way you come short of the glory of God. But when you accept Christ as you LORD and Master, it is no longer Sgt. Pepper who moves the body, talks through the lips, thinks the thoughts - it is a New Creature, one born of the Spirit (2 Corinthians 5:17). Essentially, it is Christ who lives, animating the physical body of the True Christian™. The True Christian™ does not sin, because the True Christian™ allows Christ to do everything through him. You don't seriously believe that Christ Himself sins, do you?

I'm also not quite clear how come I'm a queer simply because I don't have a wife. I mean I don't have a boyfriend or husband either. On top of this the apostle Paul remained single.

The Apostle Paul was the Truest of all Christians. If God called him to be celibate, then that was his honor (not like the catholic priests who do so in hopes of having the excuse of grabbing altar boys in the back rooms and forcing them to do unspeakable things instead of going home to a loving wife and family).

He praises those who are single.

God blesses those who fear and obey Him, those whose sins He has decided to completely ignore (Isaiah 44:22). Sadly, this does not yet include you, as per your own confession of sinfulness.
