I will pray He will finish a good work in you (Philippians 1:6)

We discussed the need for a heart change that radically changes the way we think, act, and perceive our sins.
Well that's nice, but what does the LORD Himself say about it?

Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not:
whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him:
and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
    1st John 3:6-9

We can see that the "heart change that radically changes the way we think, act, and perceive our sins" is done for us when we become new creatures (2 Corinthians 5:17), slaves to a heavenly master (1 Corinthians 7:22). Just as an earthly slave does not act on his own accordance, neither does a slave of Christ. If you act according to your own design, you are not a slave of Christ, but a slave to sin (John 8:34). He who has been saved is no longer a slave to sin (Romans 6:18). You can see it's quite simple when you stop trying to apply modern philosophy and simply trust the Word of God.

No, you have Tabhiti Anyabwile's understanding of sin and redemption. If you want to trust her for Salvation, go right ahead, but you won't be Saved by putting your faith in her.

Goodness, your church has really brainwashed you, hasn't it?

You may have begged to God, but what you found was not Jesus - it was your subconscious mind making you feel better. That cognitive dissonance you have between what you want to believe God wants and what God really wants says it all. Of course, being the victim of brainwashing, you wouldn't know this. Everyone else, however, can see it clearly.

    Welcome friend.

Like all females, you have diarrhea of the mouth. Please refrain from speaking unless answering a question (use the least amount of words possible) or if you are offering a cool beverage or a meal.

Have you your husbands permission to be on the internet and specifically here? I have not see the paperwork.

Not an ignorant question at all. As I beleive it the literal interpretation of the Bibile I have to conclude God was smiting him with the atherosclerosis.

This word was not known then; or are you saying that people knew such words in Biblical time?

Pharaoh ignored Jesus' love message and reaped the reward of not heeding His obvious message.

    Glory!

Thank you so much. I am a woman, so obvious things do occasionally slip past my limited powers of observation.

I will try to do just that. Thank you for the advice. In regard to your question, no sir. I reside in a more affluent neighborhood with relatives.

Also, in regard to my other transgression, I have repented, and am seeking after God's plan for my life. I stumbled across a post about chastity belts earlier, and I was wondering how I might acquire one? I sincerely wish to avoid sinning in such a way ever again.

My dear, God has not changed (Numbers 23:19). From the day He commanded the first sodomite, witch, blasphemer, curser of parents, or picker-up of sticks on the Sabbath to be killed (Lev. 18:22; Exodus 22:18; Lev. 24:14, 16; Numbers 15:32-36), He has not stopped.

I have a potentially ignorant question: How do we have Free Will if God was the one who hardened the Pharaoh's heart, and who brings nation against nation, and puts those in authority into their positions?

"Sarah, although I found your introduction heartwarming, and one of the best I have seen in a long time, this worries me. Is this son of Ham a True Christian, I do not think so as I have not seen him post here. I would be very careful about taking advice from one of the servant classes.

This extract from the KJV 1611 Bible explains this:

    Genesis Chapter 9:22-25

22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakednesse of his father, and told his two brethren without.
23 And Shem and Iaphet tooke a garment, and layed it vpon both their shoulders, and went backward, and couered the nakednesse of their father, and their faces were backward, and they saw not their fathers nakednesse.
24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his yonger sonne had done vnto him.
25 And he said, Cursed bee Canaan: a seruant of seruants shall hee be vnto his brethren.

It is very important for us to know whom we can trust.

About your other transgressions I will just say enough said.

Anyway, welcome to the forum, I hope you find it as warm and loving as I do. "

If they do not repent, and choose a straight lifestyle, then the Holy Bible clearly says they are lost:

    1 Corinthians 6:9 (1611 King James Bible)

Know yee not that the vnrighteous shall not inherite the kingdome of God? Be not deceiued: neither fornicatours, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselues with mankinde,

You have certainly rubbed me the right way, with your respectful tone, very well-written posts, and willingness to follow the rules. To me these are all very good signs.

I sense there is great hope for you, once you cast away the emo issue.
I am teachable to the Word of God. If nothing else is true, He has done a great thing in allowing that much.
