    Hello all, its taken many years to overcome being catholic for the first 20 years of my life.

    It is wonderful that I chanced upon this fine site, full of such kind and decent folk.

    I already feel at home like never before, I am invigorated!!!

          it's so good to hear that you have survived your upbringing in the Roman cult! Do you already feel comfortable to talk about the abuse you suffered as a child? Please share your story with us!

                      Artie, Praise Jesus that 20 years of involvement in a cult can be washed away with a simple confession of your sins to JESUS, the only priest you ever need to honor or pray to. One of my girlfriends renounced the catholic church last year. She relayed gruesome details of hearing the screams and cries of the youngsters chained in the rectory, too fearful to try to reach out and help them. Finally, she went to the Baptist church on the next block, found solace in a King James Bible that was given to her by their kind pastor, was immediately baptized and now leads the every-other-Wednesday Ladies Outreach to Men With Only One Testicle. There are hundreds of them. You, too, can now be a warrior for Jesus. Whether you want to reach out and touch men with only one testicle or spread the Gospel to other lands, the Lord has a place for you. But if you only have one ball let me know and I'll get you in touch with my friend. May our Lord bless and keep you steadfast in the truth of His Word.

                          I just realized I never told my favorite Bible verse, which is:

                          Ecclesiastes Chapter 1 15

                          The perverse are hard to be corrected, and the number of fools is infinite.

                          I think its different in the KJV, but for now, sadly, I only have access to the Douay–Rheims version Bible.

                          I was never attacked by the priest at church, but was attacked by a fierce german sheperd guard dog he kept on the grounds. Ever since, I have a fear of all dogs.

                          My brother was a 'cult' minister, but fell into drugs and ended up od-ing, he was a meth twerk, it killed him as surely as a bullit.

                          That was my wakeup call, I realized things could not get worse for him, short of hell. If he's there, so be it.
