    Dear friend:

I welcome you in Christ's abundant love. Please tell us more about yourself. What is your favorite verse from the King James Bible? Also, please let the vicar know that as True Christians™, we are not Angler-Can'ts.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

Is it true that you're going to be 60 this year? Do you have your husband's permission to be posting here?

I'm sure we'd all be interested in hearing how you found Jesus.

Re: Greetings from the Mother Country

        Hello Padres,

Your forbearance dear fellows, former Military chap here, used to addressing Ministers by their Military nomenclature, Padre or Chaplin. Pastor not quite so in vogue here. Like to keep it simple. These chaps we have in frocks here, being called Reverend or Right Reverend or even Most Reverend. Just down the road, some 14 miles from the Mother Church of Canterbury Cathedral. Splendid building, frightful chap in charge. Man has a pagan name to boot..Rowan! How can he be named after a tree?

Do forgive the odd transgression during my hoped for, settling in period. I may sit in the wrong pew without knowing.

Also getting used to your quaint colloquialisms may take awhile. Was only recently that I was given the understanding that we our a common people divided by a common language. I did wonder when friends from your blessed land, looked askance when I said I was going out for a fag. In my innocence I didn't realise that my friends didn't understand it was English English for a cigarette!!

Splendid splendid, Padre Ezekiel, old thing..look at my name it is Pappa, not Mama hence one is not of the female persuasion.

Padre Isaac, dear boy. Favourite verse, is of course a quick one "Fiat Lux"
        "Let there be Light"

A verse always used by Matron as she opens the curtains in the day room. Did wonder, you know, is she was another of these non conformist types, what I believe is a Holy Roller...then I realised she couldn't help her shape & it was the way she walked! Huzzah!

Will let Vicar Tony know, he understands I'm looking for my own road to Salvation.

Do you chaps have Drum Head Services for the Military. I so do like the open air services, reminiscent of Jesus's own ministering , don't you think?

Oh well, Matron is ringing the Gong for afternoon tea, so i had better scuttle along. TTFN as they say

What do you and Vicar Tony think about this?

On Sunday - the deadline set by church leaders for the Episcopal Church to roll back support for same-sex unions - the U.S. church's presiding bishop said unequivocally at San Francisco's Grace Cathedral that there would be no retreat.

"All people - including gay and lesbian Christians and non-Christians - are deserving of the fullest regard of the church," the Most Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori declared during an hourlong discussion before services. "We're not going backward."
          Come climb my mountains.

            Dear Lady,

Good afternoon to you. Not one for Priestesses of either male or female persuasion.

Don't care for Shirt Lifters, an abomination!

As for those of the female type, (hard to tell if they are at times) I take the stance that, our late Majesty, Queen Victoria (of fond & blessed memory) took, to wit: Lesbianism was never made illegal in Britain because when Queen Victoria was shown the proposed legislation she refused to sign it, as she wouldn’t believe that lesbians existed: “Women do not do such things.”

In my book Madam, Gay stands for happy, not some simpering limp wristed Nancy boy or a Pipe Smoking Woman wearing Harris Tweed & Brogues

I am sure that Reverend Tone, is of the same mind, unless he has been browbeaten by that harridan Mem Sah'b of his!

Must dash, just about to choose the black and blue balls for a late afternoons' Croquet.

Delighted to chat. Chin Chin. (doffs his old titfer in salute)

If they play croquet with black and blue balls, I would suggest they use a little more care in swinging those mallets.

                    дорогой мой !

Does one assume that you have become so used to the strains of English as used across the seas & so far away, one can not discern the original Mother Tongue of the English Speaking Peoples.

A wonderful variety with the one constant amongst the polyglot plebeians.

Without doubt a tongue that has become, in de facto, the lingua franca,

                    Вы благословили Алекс русский

Let the ear wax fall from your ears & rejoice the Tongue of King James his Blessed Self

Zeal to promote the common good, whether it be by devising anything ourselves, or revising that which hath been laboured by others, deserveth certainly much respect and esteem, but yet findeth but cold entertainment in the world. It is welcomed with suspicion instead of love, and with emulation instead of thanks: and if there be any hole left for cavil to enter, (and cavil, if it do not find a hole, will make one) it is sure to be misconstrued, and in danger to be condemned

For the Scripture saith not in vain, Them that honour me, I will honour, [1 Sam 2:30] neither was it a vain word that Eusebius delivered long ago, that piety towards God was the weapon, and the only weapon, that both preserved Constantine's person, and avenged him of his enemies.

Your posts are certainly entertaining, but I would assume a person of your intellect would be more careful about citing quotations.

                        Dear Chap, Nobar King,

Your confusion is mayhap understandable, one has to have different coloured balls, to differentiate twixt those of your own & your Partner's against the other pair's when playing doubles on the Parish Green

Perish the thought that one should thwack with the mallet the wrong coloured balls! Just not cricket old chap, ah but that's another story!!

                        Huzzah Sirrah!!

                          Многоуважаемый Папарат!

Are you the manifestation of Mark 16:15-18 in respect of speaking in tongues? Is this a sign that you are possessed of the Holy Spirit? Glory to God!

Forgive me as I am foreign. But while I read only the King James Version of the Bible, and never the Russian translation (it is a well known fact that Jesus most assuredly did not speak Russian), I must say that I understand best the English spoken in the state of Texas, the home state of George W. Bush, America's Greatest President. Your manner of speaking is new to me, neither proper American English nor KJV Biblical. But I am thrilled that you are familiar with the language of Pushkin, Russia's greatest poet, and wish you a hearty welcome, Добро пожаловать!
