  • I guess I'll introduce myself.

Hello there. My name is jonatan and I'd like to introduce myself. I've commented in some of your threads so I guess I've already made some noice of myself.

And yes, I am an athiest, I've never been religious or spiritual. However, I do not disrespect others who are. But, just as any person I am allowed to give my opinion. I am not here to breed hate, I am just here to question you. Cause I am deeply interested in religion. I am here to learn and as I said before give my opinion. I am pretty sure that a lot of you won't like my opinions. So why not start of with a question, shall we?

Why do you believe in god? Did you parents learn you at an early age? For you must excuse me because in my mind religion is all about brainwashing. As we all know when children grow up they adapt to their surrondings. So yeah, I guess my first question would be When did you believe in god?

How has believing in god changed your life? Are there things you are not allowed to do? Things you wish you could do be not allowed to? How do you think your life would have looked like had you not believed in god?

Please forgive my english, it's not my native tounge. I'm swedish. Oh, btw, I saw that "Crankyoldman" did a thread about Sweden. Hehe, oh did it amuse me. But no worries, I wasn't offended, it was pretty fun to read, to see someone come up with such ideas... Very creative ^^

    Regards, Jonatan.

Oh, I failed to mention. No, I don't go to churches. However they are really beautiful. I used to go to the church when I was younger, but when I asked our priest questions such as "how can there be a god if even you don't know who created him", "Why does the bible only contain stuff about the earth and not the rest of the unvierse"... One day I asked to much and he slapped me over my face. He NEVER gave me a real answer. And that's when I realized how much of a lie religion really is. Now you know a little bit of myself.

No one really, I'm just a guy behind a computer screen. You know my reason as to why I don't believe in religion, why dont you share yours? Seems only fair in my opinion

Young man, I believe that my first advice to you would be to consider the ramifications of the Lord God causing you, a godless Norwegian, to read and write in His favored language, American. I don't know how you came by this skill, but your American English and the fact that the Lord has brought you here to this Godly site should be considered conclusive evidence that He has some use for you, though I can't imagine what that might be, and He has brought you here for salvation.

Still, you unsaved wretch, you posess free will, given as a gift unto you by the Lord, and it is up to you to save yourself. Jesus died that you may live, but it is up to you to recognize the plain truth of it.

You need to come to Jesus, Sven. It's that or Hell.

          God Bless!

Tell me, why should I open up my arms freely to god when I've never seen him? Why should I believe in your religion and not the islamic religion? Or the hindu? Why doesn't god purge this world and take all the humans in it and have an awesome big party up in heaven? If satan is so evil and bad, wouldn't it mean that if I am a really bad person satan would be glad to have me?

Answer these questions seriously and I might consider to take on your post.

Why are you on a forum designed for truth and honesty when you reject the one DIVING truth?

                Go away Jesus Hater.

Well I, uh, there's lots of questions... Don't really know how else I should put it. Perhaps the light has blinded you, eh?

And I don't own a harley davidson but man it'd be awesome to have one!

You know, instead of replying with pathetic sentences like "go away jesus hater, the one divine truth" you could reply with real answers. Don't you think you'll make your god angry if you can't give another person reason to believe in him? Hade Jesus bled for nothin', brotha?

I, a saved CHRISTIAN, do not need to explain myself to unsaved hellbound scum like you.

Ah, I see I've gained the titel "foreign teenaged fag". Are you guys racists as well? Your god must be really proud over you. :') Oh and btw, Dr Laurence Niles, you wrote to me saying "Please do not imply that a True Christian™ has a reason not to believe.

                        That is very hurtful."

But I'm a "foreign teenaged fag"? Seems fair Oh, for your information, we swedish fags are smarter, more good looking and richer than you!

I believe in God because God believes in ME! When I was yet a filthy, horrifying, decrepit sinner, willful and confident prideful in my own abilities, Jesus suffered an excruciating few hours, and even temporarily died for ME! You see, even before I knew what I was going to do that would offend the LORD (God, The Father) so much He had do kill Himself (God, The Son), He looked deep into the soul I would eventually have 2000 years later, and LOVED ME! Oh jonatan, I love Him so much I just want to shout it over the rooftops!

JESUS LOVES ME! AND ALL TRUE CHRISTIANS™!

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Oh goodness, the change has been AMAZING! But you're mistaken if you think my relationship with Christ is about being "allowed" to do things. There is freedom in being a slave to Christ (1 Corinthians 7:22). Not a figurative slave, but a real one. I was purchased, bought at a dear price (1 Corinthians 6:20). Sometimes I feel like the little girl for whom the LORD was inspired to create a perfect Law for her own father to lovingly sell her (Exodus 21:7-11). I like to think she was happy, too.

This freedom gives me the choice to do things, but the Holy Spirit within me compels me to choose only that which glorifies the LORD!
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Your life sounds really nice, good for you. But um, this question might hurt you (sorry if it does, no need to reply if you don't feel like it) but doesn't it make you mad that you as a women gets bullied and oppressed? I mean, I've seen several male members here who has the "titel" "Only tell her once" and that REALLY pisses me off. Woman has equal rights like we men do. Doesn't that make you angry?

Hm, alright. For your information, I live in a wealthy familiy. We've donated money to charity several times up to a worth of 100k Dollars. And no one in my family believes in god. Are we still hellbound scums? How many people have you helped in your life? Jerk.
