I see the form around here seems to be that members who do not agree with the views of the 'pastors' are chastized through a series of covert tools. Since joing here a few days ago, I have done my best to be friendly, open and honest. I have posted here in the spirit of love and friendship, and treated each and every one of you as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Since coming here, the people who run this show have:
1. Posted some stupid parody picture of a police officer as my avatar.
2. Written 'unsaved trash' beside my name (Does 'judge not, lest ye be judged' ring a bell?). I have noticed that a Catholic contributor here has also been labelled a paedophile. This is libel, and I hope he sues you.
3. Changed my username to 'Jacque-Off'. (Haha. Very funny - now please change it back).
4. Sent me 'infraction' notices.
Now these 'notices' are an interesting feature of this board, which I've never come across anywhere else. Seems a guy can pick up an 'infraction' for daring to question someone else. One of these infractions related to a perfectly true fact that I pointed out - the English High Court did NOT rule in favor of Sharia law. A judge merely mentioned in a speech at a private function that he saw some circumstances in which it might be used. For stating this, I received an 'infraction'.
The second infraction I received from the so-called 'senior Pastor', who objected to the use of the word 'daft' in one of my postings. This, he said, proved I wasn't American. I have given all the information I intend to give out about my private life here, which anyone can read on my public profile. I was born in France, raised in Ireland by American parents, and now live in Charlotte, NC. I have an American passport. But I guess that doesn't matter round here. Seems to me that posters are picked on and are the subject of regular insults and name-calling if they don't conform to LBC's wacky version of theology.
Right now, I'm going off to get some sleep. I will have a think in the morning whether it's worth coming back here. I have a feeling that my time here sharing the love of the Jesus of the Bible (as opposed to the 'Jesus of LBC') would be more profitable spent elsewhere.
Good night,
Jacques.
