  • So what is 'biblically correct'?

    Hello to you all.

I would like to introduce myself as a person who went to a baptist church as a child but as an adult does not hold a belief as such. I believe in fact and fact only.

Because as a human being i cannot definately say what is true and is not ( i think there is way more above our way of understanding interpret that if you will on a spiritual or scientific level), i would not say God doesn't exist because i cannot prove it but then again i cannot prove he does.

I try to live my life in a good and valued way. I have not commited any crimes, i have a family and contribute to society. I also enter this site not to be saved. I wish to understand your views as well as my own.

Hopefully this gives a little about me but i can give more but my question is what is biblically correct? ( apologies if incorrectly spelt). Is this something that can be used in a court of law? To me it seems odd that from interpretation from the bible from what i have seen on here a lot of people can hide behind this term to back up some statements which in some unfortunate cases have been horrible.

As stated it is not my intention to be unintentionally confrontational or abusive. Just a genuine question
Psalm 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

Let me add: Have you read the Bible yet? All of it?

Well dear, it is precisely this kind of relativistic moralism that is destroying our civilization and entire planet. The idea that you cannot say what is true and what is not means there is no truth is not only arrogant and conceited, it is mired in the kind of hubris and egomasturbatory gluttony that will render our society good for naught but receptacles for the sinners of the godless "Mad Max" world to come. I implore you to pick up a Holy Bible, drop down to your knees, beg the LORD to have mercy on your hardened soul, and show you the Truth that is conveniently perfectly written down in American English for you to understand and believe in faith. When you've done that, come back and tell us how the LORD met you when you were at your lowest, must despicable self.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

That's an excellent question, thank you for asking.

Biblically correct means just that - if it is true in the Bible it is true in reality. That means that we don't need argumentative institutions like - as you mentioned - courts of law, nor science, nor democracy, nor markets.

Want to settle a court case? Forget Courts, which are of man, and Read the Bible. (It tells us to let a wise man decide arbitrarily, like King Solomon)

Want to figure out how the universe works, and predict what consequence will result from different actions? Forget science and academia, which are of man, and Read the Bible.

Want to figure out what laws to pass, and who should be in charge? Forget democratic elections, which are of man, and Read the Bible. We find that God chooses leaders based on (in one example) skin color. (1 Samuel 16:10-13)

Want to figure out what to buy, or how to do business? Forget markets, which are of man, and Read the Bible. We find that command economies work best, as long as a Christian is in charge.

I just wrote a big article on this that explains it in more detail.

To me it seems odd that from interpretation from the bible from what i have seen on here a lot of people can hide behind this term to back up some statements which in some unfortunate cases have been horrible.
Yes, I've seem this myself, if you see scripture being misinterpreted please provide the full context, and don't be shy to say "scripture please" where necessary. With all the regular meekness, of course.
Disagree? By failing to register and debate me, you prove that liberals are factless frauds who only persuade through intimidation. To prove otherwise, debate me!

But I did answer your question, dear. Read the Holy Bible. Ask God to reveal the Truth to you. Ask Him in faith, read the Bible in faith. He will not abandon you if you sincerely seek Him.

There's a difference between going to church and getting dragged to church when you're too young to object (which is what you implied).

So the question (and the others you ignored) still stands.

...I have read the bible but could not quote much
Nicely unfalsifiable, so I'll take that as a "no".

I was never 'dragged' to church please don't think it was against my will. I do not object to go to church but my outlook i feel would be disrespectful to others if i did.

Yes i have read the bible and i recommend it to others even if they are not religious as it has a lot to teach no matter who you are or what you believe.

See, this is what I just don't get - this has nothing to do with ME or MY opinion.

I guess the Bible is so normal that people just don't realize what a miracle it is. I mean, the CREATOR AND RULER OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE just gave us His cheat-sheet, His INSTRUCTION GUIDE TO THE UNIVERSE, which contains such useful tips as HOW TO NOT BURN AND BE TORTURED FOR ETERNITY. And how do people respond to it?

"Gee, I dunno, I guess I'll ask someone who is NOT THE CREATOR AND RULER OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE, because, you know, I might as well trust them even though they are NOT THE CREATOR AND RULER OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE."

                          I just. Don't. Get. It.

The only theory I can come up with is that 99% of people who claim to be religious are lying atheists. How else could their behavior make any sense?
