Friend, 'American' is the most elegant language there is. That is why it is God's Favorite.
If God wanted us to believe Algebra was His favorite, don't you think He would of said so? It seems to me that you are trying to speak for God. That is simply not possible. God spoke to all of us with His Perfect Book, the Holy Bible. Perhaps you should read it and become informed.

A compliment to suggest God is too addle-brained to have made sense the first and only time He dictated His Perfect Word to be preserved for all the ages onto paper?

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

That is not what I am saying. I am saying that maybe you have taken it incorrectly and YOU dumbed it down for your uneducated minds. I am suggesting that it is more elaborate than it seems.

          1) You mean "English."
          2) When did God say that "American" was his favorite language?
          3) It seems that everyone on here is trying to speak for God, saying what is his "favorite" and what not. I simply suggested a POSSIBILITY. I never said it was the absolute truth.

First you think God didn't know what He was saying, now you think Mr. Hutchins didn't know what he was saying. Goodness, do you mathematician types ever just say what you mean, or do you all beat around the bush so?

Are you even reading? I'm saying NO ONE, including myself, knows the true word of God except for God Himself! I am suggesting that it may be in a language that is so much above us that we can only translate it through mathematics.

Also, if you really want to support the cause and please the owners of this website, you should probably go cook and clean. Don't argue amongst man, the "greater gender." You are a woman and are property of man. IS THAT REALLY HOW YOU WANT TO LIVE?! Oppressed by several uneducated, power hungry men?! Come on! Be independent! You are a human being, not just a woman!

Way back in the day, they didn't have the tools to accurately define a value for pi. And 3 is technically a correct approximation, however not very accurate.

I did know those stories, and just listing a number isn't math.

A Greek called Archimedes (287 BC – c. 212 BC) defined pi as between 223/71 and 22/7. Who would you believe - God or a Greek?

2 Often. Read the Bible. You 'claim' to be smart. Show us just how smart you are.
3 Friend, while the idea of 'possibilities' seems like fun, God tells us there are only Truths. He laid out all possible Truths for us in the Holy Bible.

As my boy Ralph says 'If it is not in the Bible, it simply is not so, right dad?"

The first time you respond to me you yell at, and belittle me? Why? What did I ever do to you?

For your information, if no one knows the true Word of God, then what do you think the Holy Spirit has been talking about lo these many years (Romans 12:6; 2 Peter 1:20-21)? Do you think He's been whispering lies? Making things up? Teasing believers? Why would He do that, do you think?

And by the way, I am the sole property of Christ Jesus, who bought me at a most precious price - His Blood (1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Revelation 5:9). I'm a willing Slave to Christ just as you're a willing Slave to Sin. Now who is the fool?

When saying "Who would I believe?" when it comes to defining pi, this isn't a matter of me believing a Greek over God. It really should be "Do I believe a mathematician or the Bible?"

And guess what! I believe the mathematician! The writers of the Bible did not possess the intellect to be able to analyze the word of God. That is why I am saying 3 is an approximation. It isn't incorrect, it is just inaccurate. Just like 3.14 is not incorrect, that is just inaccurate as well.

Here is what I am saying. God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. It was like that for EVERYTHING he created. I am saying that maybe he didn't speak in a human language. Maybe he spoke in a divine language that we can never, as humans, understand. And maybe, just maybe, that language does translate in our universe as mathematics so that we can have some understanding.

Wow, those are drastically different values!

Could you imagine going to the store to get a prayer cloth and have the clerk have to guess the change due you? Cutting lumber for a roof pitch and 'more or less getting it'?
A man once said, 110, 220, what is the difference. It is only 1/2. A half is very little.

I wonder if our friend her knows what God tells us about this mathematical quandary? I do, it is right there in the Holy Bible. Written in American. With explanations and solutions for every single problem, question or situation, in easy to read, plain words. Isn't God just the best!

Those values are not drastically different at all!

                          22/7 is approximately 3.1428
                          223/71 is approximately 3.1408

                          pi is approximately 3.1415

                          223/71 < pi < 22/7

Look, why would God have told us 1 Kings 7:23 unless He was making a point. Why would He tell us the radius and the circumference unless He was telling us that maths is wrong? He would only have needed to say it was circular with a circumference of 30 cubits. Or it was round with a diameter of 10 cubits. But no, He specifically said it had a circumference of 30 cubits and a radius of 5 cubits. He was telling us that mathematics is wrong.

Did God actually tell you that? No! The writers of the bible were either lazy or incompetent and made some sort of poor approximation.

Have you ever approximated pi? I have in several different ways and each time, I am able to get the same answer down to at least the 10,000th (3.1415...).

So, the people who WROTE the Bible are lazy, but the people who refuse to READ the Bible (people like you) are somehow...better?
