Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

      Actually I do have:

John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
They are both religious, are they not?

1 John 4:8: He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

1 John 4:16: And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

Anyway there is this thought that "God loves everyone."
Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done
abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

We'll see. If they are True Christians™, the LORD will hear their prayers (Proverbs 15:29; 1 Peter 3:12; Psalm 34:15; ). We know God doesn't listen to the prayers of sinners.. He tells us to pray in faith and we shall be healed (James 5:14-16). By the way, God did so love the world, but belief that Jesus exists isn't enough. One should know that Jesus did not die for everyone's sins.

Exactly! Now we'll see if the OP knows God!

Right again! If the OP's wife isn't healed, we'll have indisputable proof that he does not dwelleth with God! So let's pray for him to really put his faith in action when it counts most! Now you see why relying on medical doctors and their secular science is an affront to God!

Whoops, you're confused again! If God loves everyone, why wouldn't He come right out and say so? He comes right out and tells us who He hates (Leviticus 20:23; Leviticus 26:30; Deuteronomy 32:19; Psalm 5:5; Psalm 5:6; Psalm 10:3; Psalm 11:5; Psalm 53:5; Psalm 73:20; Psalm 78:59; Psalm 106:40; Proverbs 6:16-19; Proverbs 22:14; Lamentations 2:6; Hosea 9:15; Amos 5:21; Zechariah 11:8; Malachi 1:3; Romans 9:13; Revelation 2:6; 15). You should get out of the habit of interjecting what you assume the Holy Bible must mean [conveniently based upon your 21st century cultural morals standards] and trust that the Holy Bible means what it says.

The fact is, He loves those who love and obey Him first (John 14:15, 21, 23; 1 John 2:3; 2 John 1:6)! And why shouldn't He? This is, after all, our sole duty in life, it is why we were created (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

I've bolded the pertinent bits. You can say you believe in Jesus, but if you then go and do things that are against Jesus' teachings in the Bible, do you really believe? No, and Jesus knows the difference:

Matthew 7:21 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."

...1 John 4:8: He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love...
Want to have a discussion of the ways God shows His "love" to people?

...1 John 4:16: And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

Anyway there is this thought that "God loves everyone."
Anyway there is this thing called different definitions for the same word, in this case, "love". Does someone saying, "Ooooh, I LOVE me some Frito-Lay Cool Ranch(tm) corn chips!!!" satisfy 1 John 4:8?

I'm not sure we should listen to you. The pastors say you're a atheist.

He may be an atheist, but he does know the Bible and he is always respectful, knowing that he's posting in a Christian forum. For that reason, he is permitted to post.

You are very clearly not thinking Biblically on this matter, friend. The Lord God condemned Asa, King of Israel, for not seeking God out for healing and instead went for suckular doctors...

2 Chron. 16:12-13: And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the Lord, but to the physicians. 13 And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.

                Please learn from his mistakes.

Besides, if God chooses to murder someone even when they have done all to try and please Him, it is His Business (see I John 5:14). Who are you to object?

                Regards,

                Pastor Ed

                  That's a terrible diagnosis.

It's glorious God gave her an extra one!

                  Hallelujah! Praise Jesus!

Many are going to die and go to too. Will you listen?
