Whilst doing some searching in particulary in regards to Asexuality I came across a thread within this forum that I would like to contribute to in regards to some of the misunderstandings of what an Asexual is.

Within that thread I noticed several times existing members requested an introduction of new members.

Respecting this is your forum and not wishing to be rude I therefore would like to introduce myself first.

My user name within the Asexual community is PiF and my real life name is Shaun. I have more than a few decades behind me and generally am a pretty laid back person.

I can't say I lay my hat with any one faith as most are just books written by man and mans interpretation BUT I am spiritual in believing something exists.

I hope to take part in the Asexual thread and offer some clarity and certainly do not seek to offend.

Anyway, thanks for letting me post and thanks fir taking time to read my intro.

From what I have read many within the forum seem to be of the, your either with us or against us. I have always seen faith of any kind as a positive part of who a person is but not all of who a person is.

I am of the born this way asexual type so unlikely to be able to change not that I would want to.

I certainly do not reject Jesus, god, Mohammed, budha etc as to those within that faith it is incredibly important to them. I understand the died for the sins comment. Humanity at the best of times is a pretty unaprecitive breed and sometimes events need to happen to remind us we are after all, a planet of people put here by anothers grace.

You should be worried about offending God by not following THE most basic command in the Bible (see Genesis 1:28). It is He Who will kill you and throw your tattered, powerless soul into Hell (see Luke 12:4-5).

Yes, and that is true since Jesus said that exact thing...

Matthew 12:30: He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

Wrong. Jesus Christ IS our life, not a part of it...

Colossians 3:4: When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

And it depends on whether or not it is God's Legit Faith(tm) or a false, soul-damning copy of it (see 2 John 1:9-11). A false-but-sincere faith is as bad as none at all (Hebrews 11:6).

Well, that's too bad since you sound like someone who wants to do right by himself. So why not accept the Lord Jesus into your heart and be saved? You could be married and raising a family unto the glory of God way sooner than you think.

But you don't accept Him, which means you are hell-hound fodder right up until the very moment that you do (see Romans 10:9-10; Luke 13:3,5; Acts 2:38).

If indeed you consider yourself grateful to God, then why do you resist Him?

I appreciate most of it's members are very strict in their opinion and hey, why not it's your forum after all.

Although Asexual, I have been married and do have a child. Asexuality is just one thing and nothing more... The lack of sexual attraction... That's it.

Everything else is the same as sexuals. Many asexuals are sex positive, have families, some are or have been married, some are religious and some are not.

Zecharia, I have no problem with Jesus at all and am puzzled where you got that from? I know he is important to many.

I don't and would not do quotes as I am sure for every qoute there is a counter quote and my intent/ purpose is not to throw doubt on your own beliefs but to simy correct misinformation in regards to asexuality.

I get it: You find that being conjugally unattached suits you, so to hell with God and His Word, right? Is that how it works?

What a terrible person you are. You have minimized God's Command while exalting yourself and your own desires to belittle the role of procreation. Do you still not see your problem? Do you not see why Jesus will be forced to toss you into the Lake of Fire?

What I don't understand is why you have to wear a label about this. Mr. Etheldreda lacks sexual attraction. He performs his marital duty by virtue of honoring his responsibilities (Genesis 9:7). It's like paying taxes, no one wants to do this, but we all must. To that end, I do my best to make it as painless and tolerable an experience as possible. The lights are out, the drapes are drawn, the windows themselves covered with black panel, and taped at the edges lest any light peek in and distract him. I position myself appropriately and wait for him to enter the room, do his business, and then leave when his job is complete. I don't distract him with noise or movement of any kind. I don't mean to sound dirty here, but we're all adults, right? We can talk about these things, can't we? After all, it's in service to the LORD. Mr. Etheldreda would much rather be out with his friends from church, joining the pastors in their many witness programs across the country. He is gone for days and even weeks at a time and I can see how refreshed he is when he returns to know travel away from the strain of this marital duty is good for him. But he would never wear such a goofy label, because he isn't asexual, he's a real man.

I'm sorry to say pastor your information on asexuality is incorrect.

I have had many short term relationships, most with sex involved. I have had three long term relationships again with sex involved. Asexuality is not the abstinence of sex, it is simply the lack of sexual attraction.

Perhaps my communication skills are lacking, my apologies.

If I see an attractive woman I think, what an attractive woman and nothing more. Were I to have sexual attraction to others I suspect I might think... She's hot and I need to do it.

As I mentioned, asexuality is not the inability to have sex but just the person lacks sexual attraction to others.

By the way I have one child and two grandchildren so I think I held my part of the deal up.

Mary, if I could call you Mary? I am always cautious when addressing another mans wife/partner. I missed your first post but if I can rey to both?

It's great that you and your husband have found a way to have a happy relationship in a way that works for you both.

Not sure on the real man comment works if you mean my asexuality? I have had sexual partners and left many of my female partners walking wobbly, in some instances they have complained 4 hours is far too long so I have accommodated them with shorter periods.

Again asexuality is the lack of sexual attraction, not the lack of sexual ability. For myself I enjoy sex as a tool to make my partner happy with a need fulfilled. If they are happy, I am happy.

I will agree sometimes it has been like servicing a car and seemed a chore as it would seem many sexuals agree but most times I have respected the woman underneath me.

I only ever had one complaint and that was valid and nothing to do with my asexuality.

You miss the point, dear. It works for Jesus. Our considerations are irrelevant. Consider the parable about the farmer with two sons. One accepted his father's plea to help, but never did. The other didn't want to help, but finally did. The farmer was pleased with the son who did help. He didn't care about the emotional state or personal desire of either one, and that's a reflection of how God cares about us (Matthew 21:28-30). My happiness is inconsequential in this life. It is the next life, the eternal life I care about, and that means catering to God's happiness.

Not rejecting Mohammed and that Buddha person IS rejecting Jesus. It's that simple. God explains it this way:

I Timothy 2
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Notice how He does not say “the man Christ Jesus and later I'll send along some nutter as well and oh, yes nearly forgot there's that Indian freak who worships demons you can follow him too if you feel like it” and therefore we know that they are false prophets.

There is no such thing as an asexual. Well, maybe an amœba or something but definitely not humans. There are people who accept God's Just Law, called Christians, and people who don't. Christians are destined for Heaven and infinite delight whereas everyone else will be tortured forever in perpetuity.

Catholics would be a good example of the latter group. They have priests who claim to be asexual. There is no such thing as a Christian priest so they are revealed as liars by that fact alone. Buddhists don't claim to worship Jesus so are not liars in that respect but everything they teach is false whether they know it or not and you are right to reject them.

OH, hang on.. you don't reject them.. you reject Jesus.

For someone who claims to be an asexualist you do rather seem to be a serial philanderer. Has anyone else noticed how many times it's come up? Sex this, sex that, –sex, sex–, –sex–, multiple partners, women going wobbly, like I don't think even Casanova had it this bad?
