Evil relative to what? True morality is determined by whether or not an action is in accordance with the Word of God. If God says it's good, it's good. If God hates it, it is evil. Our own deluded sense of right and wrong is irrelevant. The Christian path is not paved with sugar plum dreams and strawberry wishes; it is paved with the shattered bodies and shredded souls of those who have crossed our LORD. God knows that if you want to make an omelet, sometimes you've got to crack a few eggs. It is our job to cower before Him and obey His edicts, lest He consign us to the fiery pits of hell for all eternity.

No. We worship the God of the Bible. The only God. God is about love, but he is also about hate and vengeance. This assures us that we will go to Heaven for Eternity. To worship any other god (such as a fluffy bunny god) is to guarantee eternal damnation in the firey pits of Hell. To worship that fluffy god gets you nowhere. Why worship a non-existent god, a god that is purely a figment of someone's imagination?

Yes, catholic churches make people pass a basket to put money in it. You will feel guilty if you don't but you can just pass it to the next person. And this money will help priests to live, eat and keep the property of the church. It will also help them to pay electricity to power the microphones and the lights, and the printer which also needs ink to print the songs people will sing. They also need to wash the "dresses" of kids serving on Sundays. And to buy the candles they will hold.
And priests also have a life, I'll take the example of Raymond, the former priest of my godmother's town. He dedicated his whole life to pray God, but he also had a house to live in. Without donations, he would have to quit being a priest and work. And the church would have to be closed because no one can pay what it needs. Catholic churches are not about money, they want to teach you love but they need donations to keep living.
And even before my communion, in catechism I've been taught love and acceptance. But after the ceremony the basic human spirit made the children who were with me brag about what they got as a gift. "My father bought me a PS2!" "My parents took me to Disneyland!" "My parents gave me 70€!" "And you, *my name*, what did you get?" I ate a chocolate cake with my family. To us this ceremony, which I was the only one in my family to have attended, was not a thing that you do to get a reward afterwards. The other kids didn't see it this way.
Because I asked to go to catechism, I could skip a year because I proved that my godmother taught me a lot about the Bible. And priests didn't just read the Bible, they also showed us science and morality. Often they would ask me to randomly compliment someone to teach me kindness, and when my words will be listened to I want to teach people cheap kindness.
Nothing can enlighten more your day than someone giving you a compliment even if you didn't ask for it, even if you didn't do anything to that person.
