    Hello Seeker from Hungry

I am afraid, that you trust too much to yourself in this. Your every sentence has the word "I".

    Philippians 4:6-7

A Seeker, who is not a True Christian, can not control his own heart, thoughts and feelings. Only GOD and JESUS can give peace and tie your feelings and thoughts to
When you read this forum very much you notice, that every True Christian has that safety, that peace in their hearts. Jesus has sacrificed himself and gave them victory because only True Christians believe the right way.
When you read this forum you can notice how happy and cheerful, loving people these True Christians are. That is because they know. Jesus has done everything to save them.

I struggle, every day, trying to make heaven my home someday

So provided you are not tempted by the sins of the flesh such as fornication or onanism, remaining single and celibate is good. But, should you be tempted by those sins, then you must wed, or go to the firey pits of hell.

But I would like to practice sexual abstinence, for focusing God only.
I know, that Purity is not an option, but I really love to live with God only, and I've been thinking about that I should remain single and abstinent.

Because being with God is the greatest joy.
And with lifelong abstinence and purity, this relationship would be more intensive I think.

    Welcome to God's favourite forum.
You seem to be thinking well so far, but you still have a long journey before you can become a True Christian (tm).
First of all, your feelings and needs are no longer important. One day, you shall die and if you had spent your life thinking of your feelings before obeying God, you shall go to Hell and rot for eternity. Even if you have to swim over an ocean to find a suitable Church, it will be worth doing it a thousand times for the Glory of God. Stop thinking "What can I do for myself?" And start thinking "What can I do for Jesus after all he has done for me?"
    In Christ,
    Mary Thompson.

    Matthew 19,10-12

"His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother"s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven"s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. "

    1 Corinthians 7, 7-8

"For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. "

    v32:

"But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord"

    What do these mean?
How does this work in practice?
May I remain single if I want to devote myself to the Lord only?

I want to travel and move to you, and join the LBC, and I would like to ask prays for God's help with this.
And I have an other prayer request what I haven't told yet. But I will write it too, if I'll have permission.
No. You do not have permission to start threads on other subfora here, although you do have the ability to contribute to them. You will use this privilege wisely if you wish to maintain your posting privileges here.

You can ask us here, dear. If a Pastor thinks it is appropriate, it can then be transferred to the Prayer Request area. But you will understand that we just cannot allow UnSaved Trash to post requests like that - goodness KNOWS what some of them might ask for!
