I'm so glad to join here. Just recently I saw the light and realized that Jesus was our savior and there was no other way into heaven. Boy am I glad, because it would have been awful to spend eternity in hell. My wife is Catholic, but I'm working on her.

I used to wonder how you could know the Bible was true. After all, there are so many other scriptures out there. Then one day I just realized, the Bible says it is true. Therefore it must be true, because it says so. What a realization that was!

My favorite passage would have to be Deuteronomy 20:10-14:

10 When thou comest nigh unto a city to fight against it, then proclaim peace unto it.

11 And it shall be, if it make thee answer of peace, and open unto thee, then it shall be, that all the people that is found therein shall be tributaries unto thee, and they shall serve thee.

12 And if it will make no peace with thee, but will make war against thee, then thou shalt besiege it:

13 And when the Lord thy God hath delivered it into thine hands, thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword:

14 But the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city, even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take unto thyself; and thou shalt eat the spoil of thine enemies, which the Lord thy God hath given thee.

What a God we have that allows us to enslave the unrighteous, or else to take their women? Truly we are blessed!

If your wife is still a catholic, you're not working on her nearly hard enough. Have you tried beating the Love of Christ(tm) into her?

I am also sorry for your wife. Please, try to put some discipline into her. If you fail, we can pray for her to perish that you may find a pious True Christian™ spouse. But let us not despair. This verse will bring great comfort to you (in your current situation) and possibly also to your idolatrous wife:

Luke 19:10
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

She can still repent and be Saved. Everybody can. It is glorious! Repentance, baptism and salvation and fear and obedience of our LORD, magnificent terrifying JESUS!
