    Introduction

Hello all, my name is Rue and I am a dedicated, practicing Christian mother. I have dedicated my life to the only god and his son, Jesus Christ. I have been married for 7 years now. My husband is also a dedicated Christian. He's so dedicated, he keeps me in line when I dare to go astray from the Lord's laws. We worship in a barn together every Sunday and other weekdays with our three children - a son, 6 years old, a daughter, 5 years old, and another son, 4 years old. They all happen to be born on the same day: June 6th. I am asking my husband if I can take a break from worshiping in our barn so that I may share in fellowship here, on this wonderful site. I am sure there's plenty to learn from you all. I do have my husband's permission to be on this site.

My favorite bible verse is this one - Exodus 22:18: "Do not allow a sorceress to live." - It's been my favorite since I was in elementary school. So many of my classmates were busy talking about Harry Potter and buying Harry Potter costumes when Halloween came around. I didn't know what Harry Potter was, so I asked my father. He told me that Harry Potter was a series that would put these children on their way to Satan. He said it encouraged witchcraft, an art of the Devil. I began to get angry, thinking of so many popular girls planning to dress up as Hermione Granger, a witch from Harry Potter, and looking at me funny when I didn't know what they were talking about! So my father showed me this bible verse - Exodus 22:18: "Do not allow a sorceress to live." - which cheered me up. I knew they were on their way to Hell and I was right to keep away from it.

My husband's favorite bible verse is 1 Timothy 2:12 "I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, she must be silent."

You know I hate to be that guy, but which Bible are you using? I looked up a couple of verses you mentioned in my KJV, and there are some major differences.

Please tell me it's not the New International PERVersion.

Hello, and welcome to our forums! It's always lovely to get to know another Christian mother. Tell us, what is your most effective method of impressing upon your young children the need to recognize and take responsibility for their sinful, offensive ways, and their need for Jesus to Redeem them so the LORD sees Jesus' Beautiful Face instead of theirs when they meet Jesus at the Judgement Seat?

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Other than quoting scripture from a false Bible, which Brother Smyth has already pointed out, I have a few additional concerns about your introductory post:

        1. It is disrespectful to God to not capitalize His name. He is not one to be trifled with!

        2. You should have listed your two sons first, and daughter last. Putting woman before man is a slap in Christ's face.

        3. Capitalizing the name of satan and his minions only glorifies the adversary and further p!$$e$ Jesus off.

I hope this constructive criticism has been helpful.

          Re: Introduction

Why do people always want to come here and talk about Harry Potter? Isn't that little kid's stuff? Aren't people supposed to outgrow that by the tinge they're ten?

Maybe atheism stunts a person's intellectual growth?

Anyway, hello Cyber Worshiper. I hope you're also into reading books for grown-ups. I could recommend some excellent Max Lucado texts.

Welcome, Sister, I look forward to getting to know you better! I am glad to hear that you have bore multiple sons. I am praying that once I get married, I will bear at least 10 sons for the Lord's Army.
