  • I am confused...

Christians of Landover Baptist Church, there is a question I must ask all of you...
It is an honest question that I have pondered for quite some time, and wish for somebody to clarify for me: Why do YOU choose to discriminate others for things in which they have no control over?

By this I mean: Why is it that you hate others for being born with birth defects, like missing limbs, or the color of one's skin, or their gender?

I truly do not wish to say this as a God-mocking fool, and I mean absolutely no disrespect to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but I simply want somebody to clarify this for me, so that I can fully understand where I belong in society.

I hope that you all can forgive me if I have shown you any disrespect with this query, but I just want to know.

Friend, we hate nobody here, least of all cripples. But you have to understand the Bible says cripples and folks who've suffered certain injuries (such as men who are wounded in the stones) should not be allowed in church.

Surely you don't expect us to disagree with the Bible or disobey the rules God told us to follow?

Please refer to this excellent post by Pastor Zeke, which contains the specific Bible verses in which God addresses the topic of crippled people, and why He doesn't want them in church:

          Mr. Johnson,

It is nice that you admit being confused. That is the first step towards repentance and Salvation (Mark 16.16, Acts 2:38).

          1) We actually do not discriminate nor hate. God does. His Word is preserved in the Bible and as Christians it is our duty to follow His orders even if they are counter-intuitive.

          2) You mention that there are things people have no control over. That is not exactly true. All the defects and "congenital" disorders are actually caused by SIN. They are caused by the personal choices of men and women who acted against God's Will. It is possible that the sin was not committed by the actual embryo or fetus who was born a retard, etc., but by the PERSONAL CHOICE, the RATIONAL PREMEDITATED CHOICE of the parents or grandparents or forefathers. It is still the personal choice of a person with free will. That person committed disgusting sins and it is THIS SIN that STILL affects these children even if they did not actually make a rational choice themselves. It is the parents and their parents etc. etc. who chose to be SINNERS, who chose to eat the fruit and commit original sin (Genesis 3:23). And it goes on and on. The cause can be in the FOREFATHERS until the 4th generation or the 10th generation that chose the SIN (Exodus 20:5, Deuteronomy 23:2). God STILL hates the offspring because of that. Similarly, Ham chose to defile his father and his progeny was thus demoted to be the servant class (Genesis 9:27).

Even if you cannot see the sin that caused the birth defect (it may have occurred centuries before), God sees it. He does not forgive easily. He warned us: Please, do not eat the fruit (Genesis 2, Genesis 3). Humans CHOSE to disobey. It is ALWAYS the fault of the sinners. God gave ample warning. His warnings are not obsolete and it is not too late for you to listen to them!

          Yours in Christ,

              Dear Mr. Johnson,

We do not choose. Jesus chooses for us.

Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

We do not discriminate. God does. We do not choose. God has made the choices for us. We fear God. We obey. We FOLLOW. We accept what He says. We don't always like what He commands but it is not up to us to criticize or defend Him. He IS THAT HE IS (Exodus 3:14). We get a reward. We go to Heaven. We wish to see you there with us. Please, join us!

"We do not choose. Jesus chooses for us."

So if it said in the Bible (King James or Original) that you should kill your entire family, every last leaf on your family tree, you would do it?

This is an honest and simple question.

If God told me to do it, and there were no secular objections, you bet.

                    Really?

You would just murder every member of your family, because of a Bible verse?

Oh, absolutely. If the Bible said we should all kill ourselves on our 35th birthday, I would certainly do it. Without a doubt. Fortunately the Bible does not say that.
"Come Unto Me. Put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath." (Matthew 19:14, Job 1:11).

Young lady, let me tell you that being a Christian is no easy thing. It can be very hard to follow Jesus.

Before I was Saved(r) I had many homersexual friends: both fags and lezzers. And a nicer bunch of people you could not meet. The community was very close knit and while that had some issues it was a very supportive crowd.

It was very difficult for me to picket the bars they used to frequent with those placards but the Bible tells us that the Gaywise are going to the Lake of Fire and that death shall be upon them as they are put righteously to the sword.

Telling people that they deserve death was not easy: but as a Christian it is my duty to do so: how else will they have the chance to be spared Jesus' white hot righteous justice and be sent to Hell if they don't know Jesus hates what they do?

Please try to be a bit more open minded.

But it is not because of us.

It is because of Jesus. Take it up with Him.

I'll get right on that, Dr. Niles.

But first I must decide whether or not I want to become an actual member of this whole "Cult" that you absent-mindedly call Christianity.
That and the threads "Cranky Old Man" started a while back, you know, the ones that always talked about how raping girls is okay, and that beating your child into a coma at random times are acceptable.

Face it. at least 75% of the stuff you post on here is criminal activity, you are nothing but sick, vile, racist, homophobic, child molesting, honorless assholes, and you speak your own opinions as if they are from the mouth of God.

You just ADMITTED that you would be willing to commit mass murder against your family, even new born BABIES, a crime punishable by - I don't even know what police do for something like that!!!!!

Just please, I ask that you think back to ALL of the posts on this website, and try really, really hard, and imagine yourself in someone else's shoes.

You would be staring into the eyes of a maniac. Someone who beats the life out of his wife and kids, or if you are a woman, you are looking into the eyes of someone who is truly broken, a slave who must watch their children get raped, and beaten alive, knowing that if you do ANYTHINGto help them, that you will get a far worse punishment.

How can any of you live with the fact that you are so blind that you believe there will be a paradise waiting for you in the afterlife, but ONLY if you live your life in agony.

                              Just...
                              Please think about that.
