This thread is really going downhill. Mormons? Irishes? Rastafarians? All of them deny Christ. Sure, they've made up a different gospel which they expect to deceive us as they themselves are deceived, day by day, hour by hour, second by second .. .. .. ..

Sometimes we try to offer friendship and ask about this or that, how one may know that a connection with God exists or what happens to people who don't confess their sins but—where heathens or wiccans or pagans or outright witches are involved—we are spurned. Music offers many examples but in response to I Man Watzisname who seems to "identify" as an ethnic I'd question the likelihood of The Abyssinians recording stuff about reindeers. How would they know what a reindeer was? Where would they ever see one?

On the other hand we hear so much about the ska and the reggae and the dub from reprobates who deny Christ (or promote heresy with little bells or refuse to answer simple questions) that I should mention "ethnic" versions of carols because they're intended to detract from Him whether the "carol" is about Jesus or not. Obviously this Rudolph nonsense has nothing to do with The Bible but when O Fari chipped in I felt I should respond. Be warned. There are worse things than a backbeat.

Oh, how I do agree with you, dear Sister Mitza, and I thank you for mentioning this. Any knows that the delights in musical gifts by people, and not whatever those pretenders are offering in the way of aural pollution.

Presents should be given to the Church for Him. Not to little kids. The last thing I want to see is some little boy playing with a doll that has a Kung Foo grip. Buy a Rolex or a Patek (unless you are cheapo and only are able to pony up for a Tag-Heuer) and place it in the 'Gifts for God' box and a Pastor will ensure He gets it.

Attached are two examples. Notice, in the first one, there is no real mention of anything about . That cross-eyed Joo is singing happy, secular songs, and nothing that glorifies and worships the . As for the second album, the title is hilarious. How is this his mas? When did we ever hear of either of those money-grabbing Joos commiting themselves to as and ? Why, the answer to that is, obviously, the 9th of Never!

I understand musicians can revise music to fit any particular "time" they choose. So, I've wondered, why would they choose a dance tempo for music to be played in houses of worship, churches?

For example, the Christmas hymns Silent Night and We Three Kings are performed as waltzes, 3/4 time. We should not be distracted by the temptation to dance the waltz while singing praises to Jesus.

To me, this is another place where Satan is mocking our Baby Jesus.

Oh, you are so correct here, dear Brother Mayor Hold, and it is so frustrating to see these "artists" taking such Godly songs of praise about our , to use for their own glory, to achieve "hit"-making status on their record sales charts. Why, as far as I'm concerned, it's more than frustrating -- it's downright blasphemous, to put the devil's rhythms and rock-and-roll stylings to the music of our blessed .

For example, this mess in the attached video: what on Earth is this nigress doing, bouncing around in this ridiculous get-up whilst pretending to be singing a song to glorify the Gospel of ? I've never heard such abominable "singing" in my days, and to let Satan have his way with a glorious mas song; well, it's beyond being disgusting. won't stand for it. He will not tolerate it!
