I can only hope that Rachael von Heathen missed Mrs. Rogers' insightful comment, partially quoted above, as it was directly before von Heathen's diatribe against gingerbread.

Perhaps they were typing at the same time; Mrs. Rogers with thoughts of Christian compassion, and Mrs. von Heathen with her vengeful thoughts of brutally murdering the sanity-challenged. And eating babies.

Umm.....technically the Nazis are an offensive symbol to a lot more people than just the jews. Ask any German you meet (Jewish and non Jewish) what they think of Hitler and the Nazi party. I doubt their answer would be favorable. And not to mention the fact of the rest of the world. Hitler was a deplorable madman who deserved a nastier death than what he got, and you won't find too many people who disagree.

Nazi gingerbread men forced to new town


WELLINGTON, Ohio - An artist who was forced to remove his Nazi gingerbread men from the window of a hardware store has set up the display in an empty storefront in another town.

"The Secret Lives of Gingerbread Men" depicts a small gathering at a Nazi rally. Keith McGuckin set up the display in this northeastern Ohio city Thursday night, a day before the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah begins at sundown.

The owner of a hardware store in nearby Oberlin made McGuckin remove the display last month after getting death threats from jews.

"I remember thinking to myself, 'What's the worst thing a gingerbread man can do?'" McGulkin said. "They're just copying things that people have done. There are no hidden messages here."

He said he wasn't aware he had set up the Nazi gingerbread men so close to Hanukkah.
