  • Zeke takes on Satan and wins!

Pow! Ka-blam! Take that Satan! Zeke always wins!

Brass knuckles can make an impact, but if you want to fight for Jesus and really smack that Satan in the face, you better brace you knuckles with the Bible!
KJV Bible, that is. People following Jesus of false bibles are obviously not Christians.

    False Bibles!

Thank you for posting that Miss Johnson, I read it just in time! There are so many "new translations" around and someone recommended a Dominican inspired publication which I had glanced over once or twice. It seemed quite interesting and preserved some of the names from the Old Testament. Then I noticed something very disturbing which I'll try to explain. GENESIS, EXODUS, LEVITICUS, NUMBERS, DEUTERONOMY and JOSHUA teach us how God established the Israelites and brought them into the land He'd promised. This historical record shows how events took place at specific times and in specific places. In the Jerusalem translation by way of introduction I read:

At least from the beginning of the Christian era Moses has been credited with the composition of this considerable body of literature; nor did Jesus or his apostles question this, Jn 1:45; 5:45-47; Rm 10:5.

It gets worse than that but here I'll include one of the linked passages to illustrate how close I came to absorbing false doctrines endorsed by Jesuits whose approved liturgical version is the original 1966 Jerusalem Bible, not the more recent 1985 New Jerusalem Bible warning enough in itself. Jesus said:
Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
Well neither the Dominicans nor the Jesuits seem to believe Jesus either! Their introduction continues:

Now modern Pentateuchal study has revealed a variety of style, lack of sequence, and repetitions in narrative which make it impossible to ascribe the whole work to a single author...
According to this theory the Pentateuch is an amalgam of four documents issuing from different places and times but all much later tham Moses. Initially there were, it was held, two narrative sources: the Yahwistic (J) which…uses the divine name Yahweh…and the Elohistic (E) which uses Elohim, the common noun for God. The Yahwistic source was committed to writing in Judah in the 9th century [BC], the Elohistic in Israel a little later. After the fall of the Northern Kingdom these two documents were combined (JE). After the time of Josiah the Deuteronomic source (D) was added (JED). The priestly code (P)…was after the Exile joined to the existing compilation which it served to weld and bind together (JEDP). It should be noted that the literary analysis behind this hypothesis was allied with an evolutionary theory of the religious development of Israel.

So in other words Jesus didn't know what He was talking about when He recalled His interactions with Moses who for these purposes need never have existed at all. It was all cobbled together 1,000 years after the supposed events which had in turn been carried over from the stone age as a jumble of oral traditions either imported by or made up among people who'd never been anywhere much, never been in captivity, never been delivered from bondage, never wandered across the desert or been given a body of Law including The Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai. Was there even a holy mountain? The editors march on undeterred:

It is now beginning to appear that these sources are very ancient indeed. Archaeological progress and our growing knowledge of the history of the neighbouring civilisations have shown that many Pentateuchal laws and institutions had their non-biblical counterparts long before the dates assigned to the documents; they have shown also that not a few Pentateuchal narratives presuppose conditions different from, and more primitive than, those in which the documents are said to have been written.

You're very lucky to have Mr Flint who can explain all this nonsense much better but so far the idea seems to be that sometime in the 5th century BC, that is during the iron age, a number of ancient traditions and some not so ancient or even made up on the spot were collated by priests to make sure their Temple wasn't sold short. Israelite society had evolved more or less in situ during the bronze age as had their laws. Moses didn't write anything and earlier traditions, which as you can see would be stone age sourced, were adopted as they became available or were imported. Gaps were filled in some time after the exile to Babylon and Jesus had no idea about any of this even though He is Yahweh and Elohim and I am getting very confused because none of that agrees with The Bible.

Satan's hand is what I see here, spreading false ideas by lies and deception and wherever this evil gets going The Truth suffers. If I can help fight it in any way I'm only too happy to contribute and will get rid of the book right now. It's just no good at all.
