Jesus and the Mob: Protection Rackets of God and Criminals

It is well-known that the main goal of Jesus is to protect us from His own Wrath. God hates humanity's actions ever since the Fall (Genesis 3:6) that He foresaw and prepared the Waste Disposal Site of Hell to those who fail to Fear and Obey Him (Ecclesiastes 12:13). This strategy has paid off well and many dozens of people are one day going to join Jesus in Heaven (1 Thessalonians 4:15).

    The procedure is as follows:
    • God offers us protections against our Faith™ and Obedience.
    • If we accept and follow Him, He'll Save® us from His own Punishment.
    • If we don't accept His offer by our Free Will, He'll kick our assess. Sorry for the strong language but it is necessary to get the Unsaved attention.
    Matthew 8:25
And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.

The Mob is very similar. Many shopkeepers in Godless Italy but also in Godly U.S. of A. are forced to yield to the Mob. Basically, the Mob will protect the businesses from their wrath. This strategy has paid of even better than Jesus's, as hundreds of thousands of businesses worldwide pay protection money to prevent the Mob from punishing them. It is questionable if Free Will is applied. As we can see, the actions of Jesus and Mob are at first glance similar. This can be best explained in pictorial form as follows:

    Luke 12:5
But I will forewarn you whom ye shall
fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Fear! The common denominator. Without Fear no-one would follow Jesus! People would just happily engage themselves in anal intercourse, scientific studies, astronomy and restaurant dinners. Without the threat of Hell no-one would need to follow Jesus. Without Fear no-one would pay the Protection Racket. They'd just use their savings to develop their businesses and pay better wages to their employers and gather funds for their children's college education. Jesus cannot tolerate this. Nor can the Mob. Hence, we move on to slide #3.

    Luke 13:28
There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

Fear is a great initiative. The threat must be Real® to be intimidating enough to change the behavior of the victims (mob) or sinners (Jesus). The Mob offers physical violence and threatens your Loved Ones. Jesus goes one better! He'll offer Eternal Torment for both you and your Loved ones. The Reward is in both cases readily available: the Fear-evoking agency will refrain from hurting you if you Obey. Simple and in its Way (Jesus IS the Way; John 14:6) elegant. But there are also other Rewards. Yay!

Finally! The difference between Jesus and the Mob. The rewards by the Mafia are lame and unrealistic, they are unimportant. In addition to protection, the Boss will let you attend his parties, help your offspring become a new generation of wiseguys, etc. There are all token gifts, nothing tangible. Instead, Jesus will give you Rewards in the Supernatural Realm of Heaven. It's so much better than anything here on Earth!

    Matthew 6:19-20
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

There you have it! Superficial similarities are unimportant. Jesus is God, while the Mob is just a bunch of criminals. This alone proves us that the methods of Jesus are pure Gold, merciful and good and those of the Mob evil and disgusting.

    Yours in Christ,

    Elmer

Hello Roger--Thank you for coming to our church here and for commenting. A little requirement we have is that you go to the introduction section. There, you can tell us about yourself, your spiritual life and the little soldiers for Christ you have fathered. We look forward to learning about you.

Thank you Brother Elmer for clearly distinguishing criminal mob behavior from the wholesome actions of followers of Christ. I fear the subtle distinctions will be lost on the sub-humans who are lining up to vote Democrat in the mid-term elections, after they hear of the Russian mob connections of our greatest President.

What would Jesus the mob do?
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

Another difference between organized crime and religion: criminal gangs don't bother to deal with satanic temples of false religions. But once you convert a gang to True Christianity, they wipe them out by the hundreds.

Re: Jesus and the Mob: Protection Rackets of God and Criminals

Satan really likes "temple" worship for some reason. And they all have one thing in common. Probably more than one. Idols. How often have we heard that these abominations merely represent an abstract concept or signify an ideal such as of hygiene or cooking or the maternal instinct when in fact we know that these things need no representation. How do we know? Because God has told us.

              Deuteronomy 5:8
8a Thou shalt not make thee any graven image .A BLANKET PROHIBITION.
              8b or any likeness
8c of any thing .is the message getting through yet?.
8d that is in heaven above or
8e that is in the earth beneath or
8f that is in the waters beneath the earth.

For example, take the maternal instinct. If it's an instinct nothing is needed as a reminder. Baby squeaks, baby is fed. If a "statue" is needed to remind us this is what we should do, feeding baby is not an instinct. Ol Man Horrible may turn up and place baby in a soundproof box (or if a lion, eat it) but God is not ol man horrible and we do not take our cues from lions. Al Capone is not God.

There are consequences for ignoring Him. Was it because of stress upon Israelite soldiers killing all the idolators, their mothers and fathers, their grandparents and varying proportions of their babies that prompted God to reallocate this responsibility? He wants us to be frightened of Him but His lovingkindness is consistent and He's spared us those duties, making sure that Jesus will kill all the heathens. And all the heathen grandparents, children, toddlers, infants and tiny babies. It's a 100% shot. The new world will be 0% heathen. What to do with their temples in the here and now is a moot point. Secular law endorsed by God is what Christians follow and Jesus does the killing.

              Titus 2:11-13; 3:1
2:11 The grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men
2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world
2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.
3:1. Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work.

Jesus knows what He's going to do to heathens, savages, pagans, catholics, mormons, buddhists and all idolators (remember, He's already defined what an idol is) and it's permanent. Christians accept His word. But what about making up a new Jesus? One that doesn't say all the things He says in our ONLY record of His ministry? Where would such a Jesus come from? Not from The Bible.

If Jesus is not going to kill all those people, as The Bible states, what is there to look forward in the life that is to come? What sort of paradise has heathens walking around everywhere? We've got that already! The important thing is not to be on His "to kill" list. This is another difference – because mobsters only kill you once. Jesus? Twice. No-one makes up a new Al Capone who doesn't kill people so why make up a different Jesus? God refers to these people in verse 8a(ii) [BELOW] – check it out:

              Revelation 21:5-8 (excerpt)
5a And he that sat upon the throne [God] said, Behold, I make all things new.
6a And he said unto me, It is done.
6b I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.
6c I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
8a But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable,
8b and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers,
8c and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part
8d in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:
8e which is the second death.

First He kills you. Then He kills you again and things start to really go downhill. It's no more than we're born deserving, otherwise what is it that Jesus saves us from? In the meantime we get an insight into those temples. Satan loves the things and sure enough it's where all the fearful and unbelieving and the abominable and murderers and whoremongers and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars hang out. No wonder he's increasing them as fast as he can go! As to whether they should be destroyed, that will depend on the law of the land where you are. In some places it's acceptable – in others, not so much. Secular laws have no place for God. I hope the Scripture I've posted is helpful.
