First we paid about 2000 dollars for our hotel apartment. There was only 25" lcd tv and about 11 channels. No dvd or BD player, no sound system. And only 2 channels where in American language.

Fortunately we found McDonald's and got some decent food, not any weird stuff like their cataplana where they put things they find under the stones.

Obviously... they.. the white Baptists, they discovered Brasil, and Angola, and Mozambique, and East-Timor, India and Macau and Cape Vert and so on... and so on... and they taught Portuguese to all of them. They were so kind!!!!

And what about all those more than 800 Portuguese fortresses and castels, in all continents around the world, many of them Unesco World Heritage monuments!?

First of all, i would like to say that we dont need and dont want people like you in our country. I will start for your opinion on the food. If a guy thinks that Macdonalds can top portuguese food, only by that, you shouldnt be taken seriously. Portuguese arent lazy, we just dont like to kiss your ass just because you think we should. Americans think they rule the world, and by that, they think that everyone has to lick your asses like theres no tomorow. Our country is in a negative financial situation, but that as nothing to do with "our lazyness", that happend because we had have a few bad politicians. Your country has the same economic prob, can you tell me the reason?! Is it because american are all stupid like you? Your problem here is that you studied in Portugal where the history is biased. Your teachers tried to make you think Portugal was a big player in the history of the world

This when I kindly have to ask you to sustain your ideas with facts:
1st- it would be wise to tell us who were these White Baptists (who were not portuguese).
2nd- which areas of the globe are you implying in what you're saying?
3rd- who are those, so humbly named by you as 'Real historians', that studied this?
4rd- (this is just a curiosity) You might find interesting to know that there's a theory that were people from the Chinese empire who discovered America, before any European =) even though it's still questionable. I don't know if you're making any confusion with the Baptist missionary Dr. Hendon M. Harris, who discovered a map in Taiwan that resembled North America- leading him to come up with this theory.(?)

Sorry sir to disappoint you but I have to say you're a bit wrong..
I don't quite get all the critics about the two languages (portuguese/spanish) for some reasons:
A- Yes there are some words that are common (with different accents) but the majority its not =/ even the grammatical construction (if you knew a bit of linguistics, the development of these to languages, and the languages them selves you wouldn't say that, but its normal because I assume no one teaches you that in america, just because it's not interesting to you.

B- I think that what a lady on the first comments was mistaking by portuguese was the galician/portuguese language. That's not the Official and not even spoken in Portugal in general (just in some special areas near the borders). Also it's not the Official, so called Spanish which, if you want to be more precise, you should call 'Castilian'. Because yes, in spain people also speak Catalan Language for example. But for the simplification of complex matters lets leave it there.

If you have other questions, I'm here to help.

I think you didn't answered to my question, you just attacked my religion, did I offend yours? Even though the Core Belief is there I am not attacking anyone, and I dont agree with people being here attacking one another.

I still make the same question because I really want to know: I've read that
"Baptists believe that faith is a matter between God and the individual (religious freedom). To them it means the advocacy of absolute liberty of conscience." is this true? At what point?

I completely understand. The portugoose have come and run amok, most likely because they have defiled every decent person (both of them) in their third world country and are looking to sully the Golden Shores of the US of A.
It seems every one of them, in sore need of a righteous plunging education in how to properly open up and receive the Gift of God we so very much want to share is at odds with wholesome people. No wonder the spanish seceded from them so long ago.
All we can do is pray for them though it is like leaving a boil on your anus. The only real solution is a good pricking and draining, I am afraid.
