He's an atheist because while in every other aspect of his life he is a rational intelligent person, he somehow chooses to be irrational when it comes to ignoring the mountain of evidence that God is real and cares about His creation.

Unlike most atheists though, he does not angrily scream at Christians who are simply preaching the gospel and kindly reminding folks that they are hellbound without Christ.

But then I realise its still France.

My entire family are Christians. I have attended many funerals, weddings and church events in Holland - it is not a godless country.
