  • Spot Removal

    Hello Ladies (And Gentlemen)!

I recently came into possession of a lovely and modest dress of unknown material. The only problem is that there is a dark spot on one of the sleeves. I soaked it in cold water for a while and the majority of the stain came out, but it's still there. I tried dabbing at the spot with a paper towel soaked with rubbing alcohol, but it made very little, if any, progress. I treated the spot overnight and rinsed it out a few minutes ago and the spot is still there. Praying over the spot hasn't helped since I soaked it a few days after I got it.

Any suggestions? The dress is beautiful and I'd love to wear it, but I can't if there's a spot on one of the sleeves. If I can't get the spot out, I might have to use it as a nightgown.
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
    Deuteronomy 6.5

When my wife, Mrs. Hutchins, soils or damages a sleeve, she simply wears a sturdy wool shirt under it. No one wants her traipsing about like a slut with nude arms.
Twice this year, she got her sleeve caught in the grist mill. She lost a finger last year. That was a whole batch of sausage I could not eat and had to give to the employees for Easter dinner.
I'll pray for God to purify your sleeve to come clean. I know how you women are about your clothes.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Because women have been cursed with Satan's Waterfall for a week every 28 days they fail to find a God-fearing husband to provide their womb with the only function through which God redeems women (1 Timothy 2:15), many women have had ample practice getting stains out of clothing. Add to that the years of undoing the mistakes they've made in the kitchen when first learning how to baste, marinade, and mix, not to mention those women who live in rural areas who kill and butcher the farm animals for meals, and one can see the fairer sex is so fair precisely because she knows how to get rid of stains and always look crisp and clean! My question is why your mother has neglected her duties in teaching you such skills, and if it's related to why Jesus has ignored your request. Search your heart dear, and you'll find the answers you need.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

        Hi dear,

Here's a foolproof trick: go to our godly Walmart, ask the employee for some blessed by a Pastor detergent and then soak it for three days (Jesus was dead for three days before he rose again, washing away all our filthy sins).

        Yours in Christ,
        Elizabeth

          Thank you, Brother Hutchins!

Of course, Sister! My mother taught me how to wash clothes, but she never taught me how to wash unknown stains off of clothes that don't have a tag to tell us what they're made of.

          What a lovely suggestion, Sister!

As of my last cleaning, the spot has faded significantly. I'll let you know what happens.
