    Hi Gale,

    Nice to see you like meat that didn´t have a miserable life in the bio industry. There are reasons however, why you should be sceptical about eating top (or near top) of the food chain marine animals.

    People familiar with the matter (science guys) have often mentioned these animals contain significant amounts of heavy metals. That supposedly has to do with bio-accumulation and the seals in your picture not having feathers, the latter seems to have a great impact on bio-accumulation (source).

    It would not surprise me in the least if you spread your Irish tart all around Canada and probably got into some weird Canadian meat pies as well.

    I did live in Canada for a period, and drank that stuff religiously. Canada is very Irish-centric.
