Yes, they does. For once, I can agree with a foreigner.

    1 Corinthians 11:3
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Im sorry for you ladies in here with such horrible husbands that believes they own you!
I wish that you someday will get a mind of your own and actually starts using your brain, if God would not want you to think, then why did he gave you a brain?

    It's not the middle-ages anylonger, you're free!!!

    PEACE, LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING.
So women should own themselves because YOU tell them to? You think you have that much authority over all of our wives? A TRUE Christian(tm) woman submits herself to her husband willingly as the Bible commands her to, and doesn't need to be told to do as she's told!

My dear Sister, I do look forward to observing your rebuking style in the near future. Do you go with the Ladies of Landover to the Factory Stores of America in Story City? I met the LOL (and their husbands, of course) there once en route to Freehold; Story City is just outside Des Moines, and I had to fly in there.

    Coach.

    On US Air.

Because apparently all of Landover's jets were 'scheduled to be detailed' the weekend of my visit.

Which had been planned eight months in advance.

And I had to rent a Yugo, which was missing both window handles, reeked of cigarette smoke, and had no air conditioning, because every single one of Landover's cars was 'in the shop for routine preventive maintenance', and all the decent cars were rented already because of a big conference in Des Moines.

So I had to wash up in the men's room at the mall (it being summer and all, with no A/C and windows that don't go down one gets mighty hot, it was like a greenhouse on wheels), and got taken in by "mall security" to explain my "public indecency" and "vagrancy" to the police.

Who declined to press charges as soon as Mrs. Whitford stuck her head in the office and gave them just one look. Thus the importance of a True Christian(tm) woman looking unsaved trash in the eye!

Not that it wasn't a nice visit, otherwise. Pastor Ezekiel was kind enough to put me up at the Memory Lane Tea Room & Bed and Breakfast in Albia. Zeke knows how much I enjoy a nice tea room; we've been to several together.

Unfortunately, upon arrival I learned this one had closed.

So I had to stay at a Motel 6 in Des Moines the first night -- yes, driving back another 65 miles, with windows that didn't go down and no A/C -- until a room opened up at the Indian Hills Inn.

Which was not on Landover's qualified reimbursement list (being run by non-Christians), so I had to cough up for my room myself.

But the BBQ cook-off was a great time! And really, I wasn't the least bit off-put by being seated at the Tin Tither table. I understand that the Pastors Table was full. And I got to talk with some really fascinating people.

I really had no idea it was possible to yodel with one's mouth full of beer and corn bread.

    3. Pants or Slacks eeeewww. These are made for men and should be worn by them only! I think I have said enough on this topic.

    4. Make sure the color of your dress is not to loud. Some Devils may think this is an invitation. Be modest in color choice go with the season!

    5. Undergarments these are not supposed to be seen! Just the other day at the market some young hussy had a bra strap showing, not to mention she had on the Devils panties, a thong is what I hear some ladies call them. I think it is very tacky when a woman bends over and a little strip of cloth sticks out of her man pants. I promptly went up to her and gave me her sweater and lectured her on what some men will do when women do not cover themselves. I prayed for her and her family that night.

I hope this little short list help the ladies of Landover, please feel free to add on to it. I have also put a link to an article I found as well. I think i will make copies and hand them out the next time i go to the market.

You should ask your husband or father what to wear, depending on which one currently owns you.

You should definitely only wear that which appertaineth unto a woman, in any case.

The fact that you would see perversion and blasphemy as "normal" is very telling.

Maybe she just wants to get laid.
    Get over it.
Its not your problem. Maybe you should follow her lead and get laid woman.
It'll make you less grumpy and uptight. Put the bible down for a couple hours.

Great post, Believer, just wondering if it's still ok for Christian men to wear robes, I wear a robe sometimes, when it's really warm or I'm going to take a shower, or I'm headed to the beach (gah, sunburn!). Any thoughts from the more informed?

No it really doesn't. There's description of what the priests should wear when entering the Holy of Holies. Then there's 1 Timothy 2:9-10 that has been brought up repeatedly throughout this

Or, is it that what was correct then can be changed to what is correct now, changed to match modern times and location?
If the Bible said that we must walk around in robes then we would, but it doesn't say that. You sound like a Jew where half of them try to make life impossible by making more out of rules than are there and the other half are trying to invent work-arounds so you aren't "technically" breaking the rules. Or are you still going around by ox cart?

Or is it that clothing only matters to what you say is right.
    You're a retard, aren't you

If this verse is to be understood as a child would understand it, then a robe is the same as a dress right?
Well if the child is a retard that has been repeatedly bounced on his head, then he may think this. But even my 2-year-old understands the difference between a robe and a dress.

Exodus 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
    Just a friendly warning, God-mocker.
