Do you happen to have a duck pot pie recipe?

I have a chicken and a turkey pot pie recipe, but no duck.

Are ducks even allowed in True Christian homes?

      Oh, and what about goose?

I really need to come up with a lamb pot pie recipe, too.

      I just love making pies!!

No never duck or goose, nobody here likes the taste (too greasy). I have a recipe for Game Bird that I've used with pheasant, chicken, and all sorts of grouse.

          2 pheasants or equivalent
place in dutch oven fill pot half full of water add...
          1 tsp celery seed
          1 tsp dried parsley
Simmer until meat comes away from bone easily.
Remove meat in strips and set aside
          save stock

4-5 cups cooked game bird (equivalent of aprox 2 pheasants)
          butter 6 tbsp
          1 large onion
2 cups sliced mushrooms (or combine mushrooms & peas)
          6tbsp flour
          2 cups reserved stock
          1 1/2 cups light cream
          1/2 cup white wine
          2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
          1 tsp salt
          3/4 tsp sage
          1/2 tsp thyme
          1/4 tsp pepper
          pastry for single crust pie.

place cooked meat in a 3-quart deep casserole dish
melt butter in saucepan and sauté onion until tender
          add mushrooms and sauté lightly
          stir in flour
add the reserved stock and light cream
          simmer and stir until thickened
add wine and seasonings stir to combine well
          pour sauce over game
roll out pastry and place over top
          make slits in pastry
bake at 350 for 1 hour or until lightly browned and bubbling inside

          serves 6-8

Oh, and of course the gizzards and skin are saved for the dog that put the meal on the table. It seems to work, he's always brought something home

Sounds delicious, though I will need to find a substitution for the mushrooms. My husband doesn't allow them in the house at all.

I will definitely add this one to my pie recipe book.
