Re: Ladies of Landover ... I need some advice

I have two little brothers who I help my ma take care of (I have to practice for being a mother some day after all!), the youngest is a month old and the older one is three. It's really easy. Changing diapers you just hold their legs with one hand and lift their bum up to wipe up all the mess with the other hand, keep the cloth over your hand so your hand doesn't actually touch any of their skin. There's no impropriety in that because they're innocent little children.

In the bath do the same thing, cover your whole hand up with the wash cloth so you don't actually touch them. In the bath you shouldn't need to do more than rinse anyway if you clean them properly at diaper time.

Little boys aren't complicated uhm... 'down there'. To make kind of a silly comparison, you know those little cocktail hotdogs? It's kind of like one of those. You'll see!

    Hope this helps!

      Thank you Miss Annie.

Mr Luke and the boys arrived today and he bought me a gorgeous ring.

He is going to show me nappy changes and bathing tomorrow.

I hear what you are saying about there always being a washer or the towel between my hand and their skin.

I don't feel quite so silly now.

      Thanks heaps Annie.

I liked the Bath Mitt it doesn't disappear like a face cloth can.

As for the rest, yes it's probably best if Mr. Luke shows you. Children like routine and it's better for them if you stick with their routine rather than trying to get them to change for you.

On the plus side, the one that wears nappies only at night probably only wets his diaper.

          Wow. Thank you Sister B.I.G.

What a lovely bath mitt. And simple enough that I managed to knit one this afternoon.
