Beaux I passed on some video of you to a very good friend of mine in New York. He called me today and wants to talk to you. He is casting a new play on Broadway and thinks you would be absolutely perfect for the lead. Of course it would mean that you will have to move there.
My wife and I own a brownstone in Manhattan, it is just sitting there empty so we thought we would let you use it for a couple of years, rent free. Casting starts Tuesday so you might want to leave by Monday at the latest. Just give me a call, I will give you the adress and a spare set of keys. The plane ticket is on me, first class (there is no other way to fly unless its a private jet)

Think about it BROADWAY, and you can be the star! Kick the dust off your little town shoes.

What "type" are they looking for for the part? Is it a new play, or a revival of a classic?

I don't know what to say...after all our differences about the election, I'm kind of surprised you'd recommend me for a part....

Beaux, Mr, Dewitt is man after your own heart. I suggest you take him up on his offer before he changes his mind. To put it in perspective you may better understand, his offer is like a once in a life sale at a shoe store. Take advantage of it or else you will regret it the rest of your life.

Wow. But, I'd have to get new tap shoes, dust off my routines, buy new traveling and Danskin rehearsal "togs"....I don't know if I could get it all together by Monday.

My head is spinning. I never thought it would happen just out of the blue like this...

I really need to know what the part is, though. I would hate to make this producer/director down if he's looking for a baritone, say, and I'm a 2nd tenor. Or if I'm supposed to play a retired, down-and-out Willie Loman type, when I usually still play young leading men and/or even juveniles, depending.

Are you sure this isn't some kind of a joke? Because I can't leave the Community Players high and dry without really good cause....they depend on me!

Beaux it is for real. The play is some what like Oklahoma. Don't worry to much about your tap shoes or anything else. Just get on the plane ASAP. The producer and director love what the saw in the video, the job is your for the taking. Son do you have a good suit? Tell ya what when you get to town head on over so Sax and pick up an Armani, have them put it on my tab. Don't forget the shoes and shirt.

Do you think we've waited too long? I hope the part's still open. It's just such a big step I wanted to be sure.

I have to go do vocal warmups and barre exercises now, to get into full game mode.

That was fast! Thanks for believing in me, and the American Theater! I'll have to break the news to Cassie over in her thread....I'll do that before bed.

Mr DeWitt, you really shouldn't be too quick to judge her. She's a good person and everything we've done in the election has been because we only want the best for Freehold. I've also never seen her take even a drink in all the years we grew up together, let alone have anything to do with drugs, so no matter what you think, it really would be best to consider that moving forward.

Anyway...will let you know when I'm settled in The Big Apple! Thanx for everything!!!!!!!!

Miss Cassandra, I can understand fully your disappointment in how things have developed in this campaign.

Rather than being so bitter, however, I hope you can one day see these things in a broader perspective, as part of God's plan for Freehold.

While you will have to celebrate Anita Bryant's concert and my BBQ from, let's call it something less onerous, an "offsite location", you will be able to enjoy the BBQ my staff is delivering to you. And, there has been a generous offer made to you of housing and a certain degree of freedom.

In addition, my campaign's staff attorney has sent me a note saying that he will be looking at your situation late next week.

Taking all of these things together, one would have to conclude things are starting to move your way.
