I don't see what is so wrong with having people who believe in God in the police force. The consequence of Design is that people have specific places in life.

Some people are more cut out (designed) to be in certain roles: that's why you often see Asians as maths teachers because the work very hard.

To be a policeman you need to have a familiar face and as most people are white it makes sense that a more familiar white face would defuse as situation where as an angry black or Chinese face may escalate the situation.

And I really don't get your point about the Mafia. Criminals are not allowed in the police force and your point sounds suspiciously like an anti-Italian screed.

Not everyone sees race as an issue in everything. Maybe you should check your bias?
