  • Free El Chapo. He is a Christian.

There is just too much celebrating and not enough reflection on the capture of El Chapo Guzman. He, as we all know, is the gentleman accused of all kinds of alleged crimes.

We need to think about him in a larger context. First, he defied Obama and Obama drug enforcement thugs. Even some of our Republican friends have not gone to the mat against Obama. How can anyone who gives Obama the bird be a bad person?

Second, he is a very famous person. He loves his family and has had affairs with several Mexican starlets.

My thinking is that when a fellow Christian is in trouble, we should drop everything and help defend him.

Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

He surely is a sinner and certainly a 'Salad-bar Christian' as you folks like to say. It seems he is tied up with some crazy Pentecostals while at the same time trying to get Jesus the correct way.

...el Chapo has been reported to be a devotee of the Virgin of Guadalupe, Mexico's patroness and the world's most important Marian representation.
This man is badly in need of confession if there is any chance of his soul being saved. As such I must say it brings a ray of hope to my dreary days here to witness such heartfelt Baptist support to a man who has such strong faith in the Mother of Jesus.

    Bless you, my municipal magisterium,

He has made so much money from the white people that he can probably afford his own priest. He can probably afford his own bishop.

The beauty of the Baptist faith is the average bloke, like be, knows more sound theology than trained Cathallergic clergy.

El Chapo is clearly a person searching for the true faith. Like acting on his native instincts moved him to become rich, his native instinct is to believe the true faith is the Baptist. He is moving quickly in that direction.

When a person of such native talent reaches out, it is our obligation not to prejudge him. We need to make him our friend and then resolve through forgiveness whatever issues remain.

I was under the impression El Chapo was from a Mexican country, and that all Messican countries are Cathylick. Was I wrong?
