Urgent: National Rifle Association Association (NRA) Needs Us

I've seen several news items reporting the NRA might have to close its doors if more money and new members do not respond soon. In my mail today, I received a membership bargain, $100.00 for five years.

The NRA says the right to gun ownership is under attack like never before. If the public does not own guns, government will simply take everything we have like socialists have always done.

On top of a bargain membership fee, the NRA will give every new member a new pocket knife with a rosewood handle and "NRA" prominently displayed.

Let's save our country by joining the NRA.

Brother Mr Mayor, Sir, that is indeed a bargain for new members! But I hope existing members will continue to pay at the full rate (if not more)?

I notice that the NRA is a non-profit organization but does not have charitable status. By contrast, the British NRA is a registered charity and, as such, is able to supplement its income by reclaiming the tax on donations. That, confusingly, is how it works in Britain. So when you give them $8,000 out of your taxed income, you don't get a deduction: instead the NRA is able to claim an additional $2,000 from the government. Win-win!

Those pocket knives are really neat! Is there an age restriction on membership? My boys would love to own them.

Hasn't the UK instituted a knife ban because Muslim "refugees"/terrorist infiltrators keep stabbing each other and, worse, actual British people with them? Proof positive that gun control doesn't work. Brown people will ALWAYS get their hands on some kind of weapons to harm Christians with. This is why I'm a member of the NRA. When our government starts its move to take all our rights, we are going to need those pocket knives to fight. Plus, we will need rifles, shot guns and AK47's.

There aren't nearly enough guns in the Godly US - Jesus thinks we all should have at least two. We need the NRA until God's commandments are kept.

Oh, those rules aren't intended for people like us, Brother. They're for the little, unimportant people. My tall, blond, well-dressed boys are never stopped and searched and if some officious cop dared to try, they'd only have to open their mouths and speak for him to back off. Receiving the deference due to one's betters is one of the (increasingly few) advantages of a privileged upbringing.

And such fine, lithe, taut boys they are, Sis Joanna. I can hardly wait to see them again when I visit dear Hannah over the summer during my ministry crusade in Manchester, York, and Liverpool. Then it's 2 weeks to spend with your children! I so hope you'll come hear me minister to the poorly dentalized people of Britain.
